That day my friend quote RM150 tow from Bangsar to Puchong area at night, I heard market is around RM150-RM200. Some more the truck is not tow, is carry whole car on the truck, not the old fashion tow in front, the rear wheel still on ground.

When I was stranded in Gopeng/Ipoh, BMW guys on the phone quoted two tow truck services to Penang for rm600 and rm700, cash only. :stupid:

Towing is usually around Rm150-200 for a flatbed. If you love your cars, you wouldn't use a regular tow truck.

he was asking for rm 400 imagine that???!!!! think coz i am driving 3 series that why he can potong me..sigh nowadays where to find reasonable and efficient towing company???

Driving a BMW, it would be wise to buy your car insurance from those companies that provide free towing service. My previous E39 broke down on me umpteen times and if not for the free tow, would have costs me a substantial towing charges.

Call the car insurance hotline, normally they provide free tow service for 1st 300km.

Last time i tow (flatbed) my e39 from Teluk Intan to Ipoh FREE.

I flat bed my E32 from Melaka back to PJ for RM600..couldn't drive after accident as my radiator kaput..For him it was drive empty from KL to my location in Melaka on the NSE, brought me to make my police report then back to my workshop in PJ. Think for that service, RM600 is reasonable. That was 2 years ago...Unfortunately not an AAM member & didn't check if my insurance had free towing service.

Cheers :)

I agree with BMW7833. These days, most of the car insurance companies will provide tow truck assistance as part of the insurance coverage package without additional cost, even roadside assistance. Too many competition from other insurance companies and AAM too. Competition is healthy.

Hope another Satellite TV service provider can compete with ASTRO :) Too many broadband service providers in Thailand. I paid RM80/mth for 7Mbps with TrueOnline...damn !

For tows its ussualy a luck game, sometimes youll get fished into paying way more then your suppose to if you have no idea what your doing. But what if i told you there is a better option for this kinda problems. Don't shoot it down yet until you read this. It might save you alot of money. Rm1 per KM is kinda hard to beleive but i guess it ok.

I towed my E30 (on flatbed) from Mont Kiara to Optimum for RM150. I guess this is the standard rate for KL area.
