My E28 died on the middle of the road ...

kinda had the same problem for the last week or so. and the worst was today.

anyways, problem was identified using one of the computer diagnostic tools. turns out, the ECU has gone bad. one quick way to check, if you have another one available, swap it and see if it'll start. even if it doesn't, at least you've eliminated one possible cause.

Go to ur ignition key & try cranking der engine. When it fires, go back to ur ignition coil & plug der HT cable back in der ignition coil.
If dis method don't work, cum back online. I'll describe another way u mite get success. wink.gif

My car currently in the workshop, waiting for new Ignition Coil (as told by the mech, new as is newly bought) So sorry that I couldnt try your tips. I would try it if you've reply to this thread a week earlier (at that time I havent brought my car over to the workshop)

sorry. i've lost track of the current repair done by the mechanics ...

last time i call, they've replace the ignition coil, but that didnt solve the problem ... still no sparks. i believe right now they're checking all the wiring ...

i need to go to the workshop and see myself to know the details ... phone conversation cant really go into details.

I GOT THE ANSWER WHY E 28 SUDDENLY GET HEART ATTACK... DUE TO AJINOMOTO.


He he... u just got whacked hack by the E28.... I've got d same problem ..... back from Genting.... suddenly the car stop.... engine died.... n also in traffic jammed... everywhere, Mechanic also pening kapala..... lastly I try to find solution.. and at last I've got the BUG!!! It's the Electronic Gadget near the Windscreen washer. I changed the thing n till now no problemo.... ha ha ha ha ha BAVARIAN SHUMACHER
