thanks for the info bro. i'm already at the 17.5km mark, still lots of thread left. car is about one year old. so i assume tire life span is around two years then.

It really depends on your driving style and your maintenance too.

average driving style: suburban short trips. spirited driving once in a while. a few outstation trips a year.

i think those frequent outstation/long distance travel tyre wear would be higher. from my personal view, i think the tyre aspect ratio/profile also an important factor (eg. lower profile such as 45, 40 or lower will have shorter lifespan) my 225/45/17 only last around 35-40k, whereas national car with 70 profile last 70k, maybe its also due to the weight of car
