call the local distributor..

Auto Art S/B - 62752928 / 62752931

Tell them your location and the sales person will let you know the nearest authorized reseller.

No bad review. :)

Wanted the Ecsta SPT or Ecsta MX, but they dont have the size which I wanted.

Any comments on these tyres size 225/55/R16:-

1. Falken @Eneos RM470/piece (Japan) including balancing alignment?
2. Michelin Energy MXV8 @ RM540 (Thailand)
3. Continenal @680 (made in Germany)

Thanks.

Jules;

you can get Ecsta fairly easily in Singapore. definitely cheaper and i have been using them since 2004, strating at just S$85 for 205/55/15. the last pair i changed i paid S$95.

a few months ago, they're selling at S$90 each if you take all 4. they're clearing stocks as there are new models out. it is cheaper than in malaysia.

if you want to get in malaysia, try calling eddy, kumho tires, 0122267673. he will have to import them. price i last checked is about RM250.

between toyo and kumho, i very much prefer kumho because toyos just don't last. my experience was the t1-s and ??vmode?

no more toyos and yokohamas for me. have been using and they're not worth the money. i mean they are not value for money!

jules,

maybe we can check with eddy if get 2 sets, one for you and one for me. ;)

What say you?

Elwine.......got to be quick cos my tyres are ahem.....can u take lead and contact the dealer? I am checking another source for toyos...new stock coming soon, so I was told.

if you want good grip...go ask for Hankook RS2 Good on dry but a bit slippery when wet.. its cheaper then Dragons.

Guys,
Anyone has experience with China tyres. Came across Hero Milanza tyres that were recommended by a tyre shop. Price below 300 for 225/45/17 and thread looked good, very similar to Federal. In fact were told that somehow these 2 companies had something in common. Anyway....appreciate any comments....
Cheers

You can try ur luck with the China tyres and give a review later..

And btw, it's not that difficult to 'copy' thread design. What's more important is the rubber compound and the internal steel belt design. These are the things you can't judge from the outside.

Bear in mind that tyres are the only 4 patches which is in direct contact with the road. Any shortcomings of the tyres can be disastrous or even fatal.

You are right bro......tyres definitely cannot be compromised......think I will probably either get the dragons again or maybe try pp's this time. Anyone have comments on the mic pilots.....performance, noise and durability.....went to 2 shops and was quoted 490 at one and 550 at another for the precedas.....cheers

I am using Falken Azenis ST115 since 2 1/2 years ago. Currently hv done 34,000km. Most probably thread will run out at 40,00Km. Got them from Jalan Kapar, Klang for RM540 each.

Thinking of trying the Toyo TR-1 after this.

today changed all 4 tyres to kumho ecsta. got it at Glenmarie, the new JS Auto
towkey called Ahtee. Rm220/pc. size 215/45/17

Falken 115 vs Michelin PP2

:stupido:

A colleague in my office just got Falken Azenis ST-115 at Hin Leong to replace his Michelin PP2. It turned out to be quieter than the PP2. His engine noise is more obvious now and leather seats making more rubbing noise.
Performance wise, it is much the same. 2 days ago, when it rained, he told me it corners with more confidence than PP2. Swooshing sounds caused by the bigger water drainage grooves in the tires can be heard more. Surprisingly a very quiet tire. The only negative thing my colleague would liked to see improved is the soft comfort ride. Both the Michelin PP2 and Falken 115 have very tough /stiff sidewalls which made the ride bumpy if the road is not smooth!

I had PP2

I'm currently using Michelin Preceda II 225/45/17 (Made in Thailand). Very quiet tyre with good grip in both dry & wet condition. Can't tell the wear rate yet as I've only used it for 6mths plus. So far, very happy with it.

Got the whole set for around RM1,600.

I had Michellin pp2 (made in japan) for nearly one year and was extremely happy to rid of these junk!
Cornering deteriorated after 3 months of use and noisy after that too. It is worst junk tyres I ever paid cash for!

Frankl speaking..The most important are rubber compound and the internal steel belt.
that why we are selling imported used tyre,no doubt it used but at least still original tyre.
We offer more than 50% off the new price...
Michelin Pilot Premancy,
Bridgestone Potenza Re040
Pirelli P6000

All at Rm150-200 each...
