Newbie520I SE 1986Still in w/shop doing repair,Just to check with all the sifu/s, your feedback pls.I went to Stuttgart and bought some spare parts, one of the item petrol pump (new) fixed and its no functioning. Called up Stuttgart said no warranty for this part?? Cannot claim back. Cost me 370RM. It this Stuttgart a slaugther house or??Have any of the club members faced the same problem.:stupid:

not working and no warranty?u got receipt or not?ask them, "have you gentlemen heard about the Consumer Claims Tribunal? Your name gets to be advertised on their website and many people will come to learn of your not so customer-friendly services. Once you lose, i'll personally make it my life's mission to bring you down. Now why don't we be friends and you replace my part?" :D or if your brother was something like P. Kalimuthu, just shoot his ass.lol

That is what I intend to do. Receipt 'yes' still with me. Anyone got the Consumer Claims Tribunal contact or their website. I'll be visiting today, if thing turn out bad.
sorry to them.
Anyway thanks for ur comments.

Most of the mechanics that I've met don't recommend Stuttgart. Seems that they have a reputation for selling recond parts as new.

Anyone else heard about this?

Strange... i've dealt with them many times since E46 days, and new parts replaced on my car gets at least 6 month - 1 year warranty. I hear even 2nd hand re-con parts get 1 -3 month warranty. Any reason they just dont want to give you a warranty on a brand new part you bought off them? Maybe you can speak to the boss - Eddie and ask him why?

What u said is true, my mechanic suspected that the pump I bought is not a new one. Look like a re-con, thats why no warranty??:stupid:

Me also bought a used pump for RM120 from chop shop.. and it also worked fine..

Sometime it depends on luck when you buy second had things.

Based on my experience, when you buy parts you'll have to specifically specify:

1) Original BMW Part
2) OEM/Replica part
3) Re-conditioned used parts
4) Used part/chop shop

Item 1-3 typically has warranty. I believe (4) depends on your luck.

same think happen to my friend when he purchase feul pump.
Sttugart is ass lubang.

If they refuse to make good that part, S.16 of the Sale of Goods Act, 1957 comes into play ie. the 'merchanteable quality of the product'. Bring this up with the Consumer Claims Tribunal and you'd get the desired attention.

Went to Bavaria Auto selling at RM400(new) just like the one bought in Stuttgart.
Brand BOSCH... also say no warranty??. Called up Bosch advised to send the faulty pump to Stuttgart.
Does not deal direct with customer?? Take about 1-2 weeks to revert back.:listen:

Where is this place. Do you have the contact/address.

Yes i do.car sold. You have my number but you did not call. why takut i make money out of you ka?

STruttgard?

why do you guys even bother going there... your money is better off given to help feed some dogs at the shelter or even given to the baggers on the road for that matter as oppose to paying for the kind of service they are offering.

that idiot manager of their's AH jwan or something seems like he has a bloody foot stuck up his anal orifice (or maybe its a N x number of dissatisfied customers foot) for an attitude.

case in point... that idiot sold me an engine block that does not have a valid AP or should i say its probably from one of his reaped off customer's car. so i ask for a change for another with a valid AP, was told its gonna be another 1000 from the 800 i'd already paid him.... demanded a refund but was told to bugger off... anyhow, its lucky i paid my purchase with my credit card, with a quick call to the card centre and the charges were reversed due to the dispute. struttgard was even given a warning by their legal department.

ANyway, i take it as a blessing in disguise as i got another block WIth valid papers for only 200 at another place with 5 star service.

another case in point, my cousin's e60 was sent there for a standard oil service and was given two oily hand marks on his A pillar as a souvenir. ask them to clean it up but was told they were already there from the beginning.... RIGHT! thats the last $700 they will ever see from my cousin or any of our friends for that matter...

HANG struttgard, you get better service and better pricing else where.
