Hey khalid I bukan expert tau its a hobby love of yesteryears takat tengok bagi advise no problem. To collect old cars try to get the rare but easy to source parts and my car are interchangeable part with similar other British cars they share lots of electrical and others the same. nanti jumpa di TT if I am around.

awesome car man....better go by the hammerite from handymart and apply.....very good...did the same to my spitfire 11years ago....i wish i still had my spitfire!.... 
your body seems sound except the booth!....get a new one fabricated lah....very easy.....its a common thing for spitfire booth rusting to glory.....so make one of aluminium or stainless steel...

Rust is a very serious problem..Hammerite is one way but imho has a God-awful finish on the metal surface ..just did up my balcony railings in it..yukkk..tapi at least its not rust red anymore

You all make me excited more and want to move fast on my restoration.
I will post pictures of what I have on the car. On the e30 also without notice I did alot of work not noticeable, see if I can share on another thread later.

here is the picture I went to Labis for vintage event looks horrible without front overider had one missing so decided to take it out and getting new ones. the painting was done by the former owner cheap stuff yet he bags me to sell the car back to him sorry he don't look after it well.

whose TR was that?.....there was one in pandamaran like 15 years ago...abandon and rusted to glory under a kg house near my grandma's place!....damn sayang!.....

oh yes...do make sure you remove the front A pillar with glass when painting and replace the channel rubber.....very common thing to crack and leak!....if no leak.....it will sure look ugly after painting over the rubber...

Dai you really lah... I bought another whole car spitfire lah for spare just for the back overider no front, took out strip every thing and good man gave away to friends what I don't need and last gave the body to the younger brother of whom I bought the car from ( angry with him as I ask him to return back the steering system) he did'nt return how to trust these guys.
My petrol cap was stolen at a KL workshop fedup and a cousin got it from Newcastle when he studied, came home check out lost it somewhere in his two containers he brought back, what a luck paid only Rm100 but lost it.
I am in need of the overider, will check out forgot left or right. basically my car was complete only I have to change a few things.

:wink: And this is also missing to most Spitfire the Spitfire4 words in alloy crome and thats where it rust where nuts do'nt take care.
You are asking the TR3 besides my lady, its a singapore car lah.
Why I love no.1 at the back first because I change the no. at age 31 then 1 the one I love no meaning, Just book another 1 at the back for my girl. :wink:

Mafia Red as Ferrari Red looks nice but people say Red feds away fast even 2k so I think I get back to the Original colour BRG actually spitfire don't have BRG they call it coniffer green I think saw it in the Holland Triumph Club I do register as they are trying to collect as much as possible cars of these make all over the world that is in good hands. this model they produce 42000 don't know how many still alive. mine is MK2.
