specific member/forummer notification

hi all, just thought of this...lets say we're discussing something and a specific issue is raised, and we know that there are certain people who can shed light on said issue, i propose a feature that can 'call' them through pm or whatever to visit the threadan example for clarification :A and B are discussing detailing in a thread and suddenly they find that there is something they dont know, they can call C (probably kc or seech :top by clicking on a button below the reply box and as they type out the forummer's name it narrows down and they can click it, essentially inviting him/her to join the discussion

Back to your suggestion, go to your profile under the "User CP" tab above and you will see "Edit Your Details" on the left pane, click it and u will be in your Profile update page. Scroll down, u will see ICQ, Skype, MSN, YahooMesssenger, etc. Fill it up and the moment u online, an icon will appear under your nick. People can click u and ICQ u, or MSN u, or Skype u and what not..

If under KC or seech's nick no such contact icon, that means they didn't fill it up or prefer privacy. In such cases, you can always click on their nick and u get a list of option, send them a "Private Message".

Maybe u referring to the Facebook chat feature.. good suggestion there but dunno can be carried out or not as it involve programming change to the forum script. Will check for u though.. then some will ask, can I add my friends.. haha..

Phone contact is not such a good idea as it can be used for marketing purposes and u end up with some jokers spamming your phone offering you Viagra..

haha please dont mention it, ive been wanting to join since i found this site and now i can thanks to the UDM which has just become part of my family :love:

the fb chat feature is actually not a bad idea, beemer chat :top: the fb status thing in which you can tag your friends is the most similar to what i have in mind, because of how direct the notification is. when a forummer logs in, a pop up (kind of like the pm notification) prompts him to visit a particular thread one click away, eliminating the need to go to pm inbox then find the thread and so on. but yeah, just an idea.

heehee at my age viagra is completely unnecessary la, one of the perks of being 18...
