Hi guys,I know there are a few sifus out there who has installed some ICE system in their E60, and i have a few questions. What are the size for the front and rear speaker console? And can I install power amps for the speakers? And does these modifications affects anything to the wiring or the CD player console? Coz i was thinking on just connecting the my power amps, subwoofer and replacing all the speakers to the original head unit in my soon to be car from my current ride. Is this possible? I am also planning on getting it connected to my Ipod too like i did in my current ride. But it is a lot easier for my current setup coz i just plug the ipod through the Aux in at my head unit. Since we couldn't change the head unit in the E60, could anyone out there give any suggestions? Thank you so much! :top:

what suggestions?did I miss something coz I could do with the suggestions too.tx

AndyInc,
Don't change any of your original speakers and woofer, unless you can find a set of better 3 way speakers than your original. Actually you got a pair of 6" woofer at the bottom of each front seat. If you thinking of adding a woofer at the booth, it's not idle as the booth sound proof is so good, you wouldn't get the best sound from the woofer. I suggest if you want a better sound, just add 1 or 2 piece of the built-in 8" woofer with amp and just lay them at the rear floor. You get better sound than the woofer in the booth.

Well, that sounds like a good idea now where can I do something like that and what can I expect to pay for it?would it be a neat job?anybody here who has done something like that?pictures would be great too

Well the 8" woofer with built in amp would roughly cost you between 1000 to 1500 depend which brand. You can get them in any assy shop selling car speakers. Try it as I fixed mine and the sound is just great with more/louder bass. It just a square box with size 18" L x 3" H x 12" W.

That is quite a big box.Would it fit under the front seats? Now let me get this straight,This active sub is suppose to replace the existing tiny subs we have under the seat?or are they suppose to go under the backseats?would any accessory shop know how to connect them to our existing system?Maybe you could tell me where in Klang Valley did you get yours done? Now,I can tell that the mid and high range in our existing system is fairly good but we just need to enhance the bass. How long did it take for them to fit it?I could drive down there but time is a constraint for me if it takes too long. Thanks a million bro
