SOS - Calling Any E90 Non-iDrive With Bluetooth

I posted earlier for any any owners of HTC HD2 who has any problems with their phone when paired to an E90 to drop me a PM. But there was no response. I guess there aren't any.I now send out this SOS for any kind soul who owns an E90 non-iDrive with Bluetooth to spare me an hour of their time.I am caught between a rock and a hard place.I contacted HTC and they in turn redirected me to BMW for a resolution and when I contacted BMW they in turn redirected my to HTC. BMW says that I've got the latest Bluetooth software installed so I have to seek HTC help. HTC in turn says the phone works on BMWs. Sapura has not responded to my requests and Auto Bavaria is not extending any help either. I am the one caught in between with no resolution from either. I have proven to HTC that the Bluetooth feature in my car works on HTC HD and HTC Hero. HTC also successfully conducted a test but the car was an iDrive equipped E90.I am asking for help from any owner of a similar model of E90 as mine so that I can conduct a test using my HTC HD2 and another HD2 test unit in the presence of the local HTC Distributor Representative. The test is easy and will not involve any software change or installation on the car. It would involve pairing the 2 phones and operating it whilst taking a video of the test. It will not take more than 1 hour. When completed, the pairing will be deleted thus returning the car to its original condition.The test is to determine the following:1. My car Bluetooth is faulty, or2. My HTC HD2 is faulty, or3. HTC HD2 is not compatible with BMW E90 non-idrive.I am going over to SiS the local distributor of HTC in Malaysia tomorrow 01/02/10) at 16:30. Mine's 2008. But any E90 without iDrive but with Bluetooth will do. Provided you have the latest software update from BMW.

2008 CKD 325 without iDrive comes with Bluetooth as standard.

I have a friend with a 2007 iDrive without Bluetooth.

I use i-phone and the bluetooth pairing works fine in my car.

At first it will be quite confusing, as you don't know which one to set first. I found out that to pair an i-phone to the car BT I have to activate and set the i-phone and the secondly the car's. As for Nokia phone, it will toatally the opposite when I tried my wife phone.

You might one to try out your HTC in both ways.

Mine works well......E90 323i LCI, the only thing is that when I receive SMS on my iPhone, it does not appear on the iDrive.......before I changed to the iPhone, I was using a Nokia and the SMS was appearing on the iDrive
