Did you use a Gyro stabilizer at the end of the boom?
 
nope. the rig is clamped magnetically onto the chassis of the vehicle. I used 5 electro-magnets, each capable of holding strength 1000lbs of force. the whole rig is made of aluminium-lithium alloy. the same composite as boeing747. the boom is capable of extending up to 9m away from the car. only the "hydralics" section of the boom is made of steel. in order to extend this car, exotic material is required to reduce the weight. else a counter balance is required.
 
I suppose a 3 axis gyro stabilizer system would add to much weight to the end of the boom anyway..... but I suppose if you can still mantain sharpness on the car at 4 seconds, then you probably don't need it.
 
If you have the budget,the car,the locations and the know how....
