Thanks for the advice, bro. Yeah, I've communicated the rust issue and also my angst to the Service Advisor and all I can do now is to wait for them to call me back when my parts arrive. "Congratulations" to BMW for successfully tarnishing its reputation which took years to build with the roll-out of the F30 which is fraught with a slew of QC issues.

now you'll be seeing lotsa new buyers will be tonggeing to look underneath the seat ...when collecting their new car or from a used car .. :)

Hahaha... Well just got my car a week ago.. Got this problem.

B4 I collect mine I check others in the showroom. It's the same. Rusted seats lol...

Bmw, for sure, losing its ground...its plain shocking reading all of customers comments here...it will not be that 'intriguing', if it is few cases involved. But, unfortunately, according to various forums worldwide, it seems like a viral thing. And thats clear sign that QC is not anymore issue, as few units always can slip away trough fingers, but such huge number of issues, all around, is nothing but serious symptomatic situation. I know its not real sign of anything, but to me, from the moment M division start outsourcing tneir work, outside of Germany, i knew its about such things start happening, as we see, and i believe it will be more of such things. Just out of curiosity, checked my coupe for all those rust things..rock solid and shiny everywhere...shame on bmw for such ugly work over new vehicles.

seat pan changed at ingress... the new ones are actually powder coated black.
looks like the initial batch missed a step during manufacturing!!!

Oh shit my seats too. Damn!!

Anyone got their car from wearnes? So far how it went?

I also realize they forgot to cover the end of the seat rail with a plastic cover. One side have it. Another missing. Damn

With all these issues, I think the QC director at BMW AG should get the sack. There is just too much hassle having to shuttle to and forth the Service Centre so many times

AB penang SA says buyers check their cars before registration and if any factory defect will give u another car. Of course
you'd have to wait for the next car.

Seems fair to me.

AB Penang is smart ... they know how to ensure they give great customer service

not just F30 my F10 problem found , when doing my spring

one of the DDC absorber rubber install wrongly, my mech fix it for me , the DDC sensor bracket is bend when installed, so far 2 defect at my F10 other is all good.

Well regardless of what marque you buy if your workforce have the 'tak apa' mentality you're bound to end up with a cars that come off the line with problems

wonder what the quality control people actually do at the assembly plant. i still have stickers in my car which say checked and passed inspection surprisingly none of them are under the seat which means they didn't even bother checking beneath.
