Yup... definitely on the higher side

I supposed continental cars will be able to handle slightly higher than average mileage without sweat. They're built tough. As long service records are in place, they should be fine.

Average. No fast and hard rules. However,I am following a year = 20k km. Again depends on your usage lar. :)

I think in UK, it was once calculated or is the general rule for 12,000 miles per year... :p Surprisingly, we are not all that different. Yet again, I know another E46 driver who's office is only 5-6 kms from home. His mileage is almost half of mine!!

My 2002 E46 has clocked about 35,000kms, averaging about 12,000kms / annum.

But beat this - my Y2K Honda Accord has about 35,000kms also. This averages out to 7000kms a year. Thats slightly more than 1000 miles a year only! :)

Wowsers 3er. 12k a year is mighty low. I'll be looking out for your car once you decide to upgrade. ekekeke.....when you upgrading to E90 or E60?

I havent gone onto my SL yet.... its too good to be true....

car 1 = 125,000km 3 years old
car 2 = 30,000km 2 years old
car 3 = 26,000km 2 years old
car 4 = 8,000km 7 years old
car 5 = 800km 2 months old

Wow! I wonder what's Car 1, your regular workhorse?! :p

well my old e36 pony is clocking about 230K .... and it's still alive and still living a virgin life ... average 17K per year for a 13 yrs old 4 potter pony ... :D

Glad to hear that Iceman. I am approaching that mileage in a couple of years' time. B)

but in order to keep my old jalopy healthy .... the only vitamin given to my ride is ... engine oil change every 45 days ... THAT all :D

sometimes low mileage car has more problems than average or high mileage cars. Continental cars must be driven regularly in order to maintain good health, this is bcos cars like bimmers are much happier if allows to run at operating temperatures and revved freely, this is to allow the engine to operate at contant warmth or hot and prolongs longevity of rubber seals or hoses..to expand sufficiently to allows all moving parts to rotate seamlessly...
