wont' be diff. i know coz my diff is out. and that thing keeps on wining from 20km/h onwards. It kinda stops when you travel above 120km/h.

I suspect wheel bearings. Very easy to check, jack up your rear and shake your tire with both hands in all directions, if got some play, confirmed its out. Unlike front wheel bearings, changing rear ones is much cheaper. Expect few hundred dollars in damage (for e30 that is, not sure what you driving).

Don't suspect wheel bearings. I had wheel bearing problems and it makes a 'howling' noise at speeds around 80-100 and gets more obvious the faster the car goes, especially if it's the right rear wheel and you're turning left (and vice versa).

Is it more like a Tuck Tuck Tuck sound ? On Acceleration ? Kinda like the Front Wheel drive car Drive- Shaft sound ?

Tks/Dom

owh.. driving an e34... im going to the shop later this week but just wanna have some idea to ask the mechanic so the i dont look like a complete fool.. and yess cressidom like a tuck tuck tuck sound just like a front wheel drive car. but i dont need to accelerate to hear it.. anakin the pitman arm is that the small two bolt thingy?
anyway.. thanks guys for the help will check all of those things. any other suggestions..?

my e34 also having the same prob..but in this case, it happened in front tyre..when drive slow, there is annoying tuk tuk tuk sound..but, when driving on hiway, no sound at all..initially, thought it was abs prob..but, workshop confirm abs still ok..they said perhaps arms..going to send the car tom..if mine is solved, then perhaps urs prob same like me..

heheh.. after all that checking the rear part of the car, the noise was made by a loose brake hose that detatched from the harness in the front pax side. so during turns the wheel will catch it making that kok kok sound... fuhhh lucky i guess this time... anyway thanks again guys
