Before anybody start saying that I am crazy, I know of at least another person that's looking for this item  I'm actually looking for the rear screen blinds for E36. There are some aftermarket models out there but most of them have the hedious pole in the middle. Anybody know how to get one?

you'll probably be able to find provided the cut shops ring in the rear cut

if you are lucky, then you may be able to find an electric blind, get it with wires and do abit of research, you'll be able to add it in your car, i think you need the rear parcel shelf too

wonder if this can fit into an e30........

E36 orignally dont have this rear blind. So have to take the rear cut from what car?
:dunno:

some eidtions from the e36 came with it

im not sure if the e34 ones can fit, but e34 sunblind are a bit more common, unless you can find a larger organised shop that has the rear [arcel shelf from the e36 , with the blinds, only other hope is to find a rear end cut and take it from there

it also pays to see if some e36 has that ori blinds, then you can try shop around for it, im sure there are e36 guys who would gladly show you their rear stuff........

yes, there is the e36 rear sun blind. It's hard to get chop shop so just buy new.

for e30, yes i have the original rear sun blind. there are two types, one is just blind itself attach to the current rear board, the other one is the build into the rear board.

My E36 comes with rear window blind and arm rest. However, the rear window blind is not electric.

Jarance,

Mine has arm rest but no rear blinds. When u said not electric, u mean have to use hand to pull up and the clip to the top?

Elwine,

Any idea how much does the rear blinds cost? Do i need to cut/modify my parcel shelf?

yes mine have to pull the blind up by hand and clip it to the top. but it concealed when the blind it down. Thinking of motorising it. got any idea?

Jarance,

So urs dont have the ugly pole in the centre, right? It's pretty much like those in Iswara or Kancil lah. Sorry ya....of course nothing compares to the UDM lah :eek:k:

When the blind is down, it's just a pole on its own resting on the parcel shelf?

The centre pole is required for iswara because that is the lifter mechanism.

UDM auto blind is used two lifters. One of the left and the other on the right. The will be seen when the blind is up and is conceal when the blind is down.. Definetly more chun lah.. :eek:k:

yeah..know what you mean bout the poles..
but yours is even better mah..no poles at all !heheheh.

will somemore research and update everyone.

mine is motorized

got 2 poles like a V shape when its up, and when its down, no poles at all......
bought it sometime back, but can't remember where or which car is was for, best part is i dont havta jump to back and forth trying to lift up the blinds, just a touch of a button wildo.....hehehe!!!

unker j,
i'm sure you can figure the motorised part, use maybe an aerial mechanism to push and pull the poles up and down, or something like a telescopic pole with inner cables....

got any pictures of the rear sun blind ? I am the other guy that is interested too. :D

GOT mine hand pull, got from ascces. shop by a friend years back at Glanmerie area cheap2, still good till today if motorised sure kaput already with pole at the centre never mind keeps the leather seat cool when park in hot area.

good ideal.. aerial power maybe not strong enough.. maybe wiper or door lifter..
