1st, enthusiast will never sell a car to dealer, therefore it is close to impossible to find a well maintained car especially one that is more than 15 yo gem. The enthusiast here spend ten of thousand and even hundred of thousands to maintain and beautifying their car. There is 1 E38 sold for over a 100k, go ask a dealer they will probably offer you a 40k if you are lucky. If you like to compare prices with the dealer, go there, why bother to come here.

ALIPON!!!!! just because u want sell oFF ur car for 45k,dun simply throw WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
30 K is a steal!!!!!!
GIVE RESPECT and TAKE RESPECT...Think before u talk

Fuyoh... ANGRY arrr... I am just following the way YOU behave...

If you really need the forummers to help you, plss dont simply throw your WORDS as well... It is very heartache the way you comment some member car that are not worth the value without knowing in details of the car history.

Lots of forummers have spend ten of thousand on their e36 and some of them are as good as a new car.
My car has touched around 400k km as well but do you know that i have spend close to rm10k for complete overhaul 2 years ago and can easily last me for another 10 years without any major problem. So this are some of the things that you need to factor in.

If you are thinking of buying a e36 following market value and forces, this is not the place dude.

Easy guide for you to find your e36:
Your budget???
Spec????

Rajesh btw..... if you are interested with my car... RM38k for you.... Cantik ka....

what you upgrading to bro? Your ride looks damn sweet, lots of goodies too yo

Very rare that you will find a good car from a dealer.
Anyway these simple rules apply:

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT USUALLY IS!

hihi... children grow up need bigger car.. Am on e60 now... My house has no more parking space so have to sell of this old junk...

Actually, willing buyer willing seller... if you think it's not worth it, walk away loh... And wish him all the best.. No one forcing you to buy at that price. No need to get worked up and be angry... If you be nice and sincere, buyer would actually keep you in mind if he decides later to drop price, cos an enthusiast would want the car to land in the right hand even though he's letting it go..

But nowadays selling or buying things thru classified is heartache, not refering to this site, other sites...
Lowballers would SMS and offer u stupid price. Sometimes also lazy to reply.
Then few times I encountered, I called to ask whether item still available, the fella say yes. So I say I want, meet later... then 2 hours later said item sold..!! WTF!!!??? Sigh...

Aiyah why nobody wants to buy my 2 Apples hahaha

Wow I missed so much drama past one week.
Well if he can still see this. Look you have to realized we are no way ganging up on you what so ever. If you gone thru the forum you will see some of the people here has scolded each other before. but one thing is we are honest in our opinion. some of us are not fan boy and say things as we see in front of us. there were cases whereby we tell upfront what we see not right.
in this case, in all honestly I have seen alipon car and I myself own one e36. so I know the cost that goes into restoring to the level alipon has maintained the car as well as upgraded the car.
if you don't like what was offer, there are other options.

cheers and have a cold one :)

Bros here, i am jacke from Singapore also driving a E36. i too learn alot from reading from all of you. after reading all these replies all i can say is that you guys are really patient and truly are the correct bmw forum that sadly BMW.sg isnt.

Thank you all so much.

P.S to the rude man, please learn manners, you dun come here and ask for advises and yet bark at everybody who gives true real world advises. GROW UP.

A beautiful car like an E36 should fall in the hands of an enthusiast. The oldest E36 would be 21 years old today & it won't be easy to maintain one. So a well maintain unit won't be cheap & if u want to get a cheap unit, be prepared to spend a whole load of time in the workshop & from one chop shop to another. During my 7 years ownership of d lowest spec E36 318i (year 1997), i bought d car for RM75k from a used car dealer & spend over RM75k just to maintain my ride (i don't like using used or recond parts but at this car's age, i believe certain parts/components new is a luxury). Sold my ride at RM43k 3 years ago with 350k km on d clock. Gears engaged perfectly, outstation mileage constantly returned 700-750km for a tank of 55L of ron95 (previously ron97 before our G downgraded our ron to 95 as daily fuel) & i religiously change my engine oil at 5k km interval. This is from a car that spends 80% of its life with city driving.

So to d TS, if u are indeed keen to get an E36, please read up on all d maintenance care & cost u might need to undertake (In another few years, d oldest E36 would qualify to be a classic). So be certain that u are ready before getting one. I & like all d sifus here do not wish to see more E36 heading to d scrapyard. In this present day, its a delight to see well maintained E36s on d road even basic models. These sightings are rare. So good luck in your hunt & if any chance u are a fresh grad, i would skip getting an E36 & invest in properties instead. Properties ain't getting cheaper & years later, u can still come back to buy an E36 or maybe even a new Beemer
