Passenger side door won't open.

Guys my car falling apart. So many problems. Now the front passenger door won't unlock. When press unlock it does not pop. When manually pull the lever, the lock pops up then follows the lever down when release. So now cannot open the door at all. What could be the problem?Last time it happened it was a bulb that blow. I suspect it is telling me that there is a problem somewhere but what?Not indicator lights showing. HELP....!

GM5 module problem lar.

When on deadbolt lock, you cannot open the door. This is the security feature of BMW.

change the module or change the relay on the module. check out http://www.bmwgm5.com/ or one of my thread on front door kaput in the e46 thread.

Took the door to my mech. He says it is the actuator. Problem is how to open the door panel cause the door cannot open....

does your front passenger have key lock? I know my e46 does NOT have but E36 have.

If it have, you can try the lift handle when turning with key procedure.

Had this problem earlier today as well.
Front passenger door refused to unlock, got fed-up of trying and went for lunch, when i got back voila the lock popped up.

Gonna get it checked this weekend. Normal for old cars to have weird problems. =)

how much is actuator? got a quote for RM195. is that ok?

Problem is how to open the door to change the actuator?
