daer sifus.....this morning my car overheat....morning wanna go to workpush the key to ON but engine haven't started....error pop up 'TOP UP COOLANT'so didn't start the car.....check coolant level was ok....started car then drive about 2km....noticed engine warming up normally...then just another hundred meters...noticed temperature rising....checked MID....reading was 116 degrees....a couple of more degrees probably reach d redlineimmediately stop by road side......let it cool down....2 hours later....check again....water level remained d samedrove to mech immediately...strangely.....while driving from old klang road to sunway in the jam...temperature was normal at about 88degrees to 95degrees...but without airconso at the mech....waited for car to cool down again.....did compression test....checked radiator, the 2 fans, all hoses....all also ok..no leakage...even left the engine on n covered d front kidney grill....all ok.....diagnostic show zero error......what could b d possible problem??

open up both bleeding valve abit.....fill up the expansion tank then make sure all bubble come out until water straight flow....lock both bleeding valve then close the cap....
is it correct? mech oso did d same thing

Alex5522, water pump was replaced 2 months ago together with the thermostat, 2 fibre hoses inside the engine, expansion tank....radiator changed 2 years ago together with the 2 rubber hoses

better drive to the nearest workshop and get it diagnosed soon ....worried end up warping the cyclinder head ..more money lorrr

There seem to be the correct way but some people did the same with the engine running at idle.

car still in d workshop going through thorough check up....
gonna collect oni on saturday....give them sufficient time to check n test everything

Hi Pam,

When you replace the fibre hoses, did you notice the end being brittle and braking off during disassembly. The debris could have gone in the cooling system and block some coolant circulation bottle necks or even jam your thermostat. Ask you mechanic to do a thorough flush to see if any of these come off. Good luck.

try taking out the water pump and check again if you're using the plastic impeller type or the metal one ... if you're using the plastic impeller type, then this could be the culprit at times too ..the plastice impeller breaks off and the motion of the rotation is limited to pump the water at the right speed ...
