always a pleasure to share notes with a fellow enthusiast, especially when i don't have to pay for drinks! i sincerely hope you will soon determine the approach and scope of your project. you now know the location of my favourite watering hole, to which i usually only require 30 minutes notice

his name is badrul; nick badrul880.

preparing the interior for painting

some of metal surface of the interior wasn't smooth enough for painting and had to be scraped down, like this B-pillar.

Yup, last 3/4's the challenge!

1/4 - mechanicals

1/4 - wiring and electricals

1/4 - cosmetics and interior

Looks like another good 6-8mnths to go before we take her for a hillclimb....:)

hey bro mizhan, loving that chilli red :top: just wanted to ask you something, why paint the car first?isnt there a risk of scratching it when the next stages of work are being carried out?

i want the engine bay properly painted body colour.. and didn't want tthe trouble of visiting the paintshop twice.. yup, i'll be holding my breath whilst the car is being fitted with mechanicals.

It’s chicken and egg situation where if the engine in the bay, you won’t be able to paint the shell proper, and if you have it out and paint the shell, you’ll face a dramatic moment while installing the engine in. If in similar situation, I’ll go the same way as Mizhan did to get the engine out and later pray and pray even harder for everything to go in well.
