walaueh!!!
As much as i would love to go, sadly, too expensive a weekend for me, honestly.

OK, lets wait for the rest, which I gather would be similar sentiments and then we move back to ori plan....we either stay in Impiana or some lovely private chalet/bungalow and the next nite in Kuantan at Hyatt or Swiss Garden. Stay tuned

Perhaps some place with water activities, jungle tracking, or simply lazying on the beach or by the pool will be ideal for family outing, and wallet friendly. But thanks for the info on CLub Med phai, at least i know now what the rates are.
Appreciate the effort.

Update

Spoke to Impiana, they can offer us RM240 nett with 2 breakfast in a deluxe room for 6th May. I spoke to Hyatt Kuantan and they are trying to work out a deal for RM250 nett. They will revert with confirmation shortly.

Impiana is nice and one of the best hotels I have seen in Cherating with a nice strecth of beach. Hyatt Kuantan is also real nice, last I was there about 5 years ago, I dont know if it still is the same now or not.

I would suggest we go with this option i.e. Cherating on 6th and then Kuantan on 7th.

What say you?

i have to go with deep here. a weekend there will take away my allocation for tyres for both E30's! i'm sure we can find a less expensive place; doesn't have to be fancy, so long as it's cosy enuff for a group outing. to those familiar with east coast resorts, please make suggestions.. thanks.

Anyone been to Swiss Garden Kuantan? Ok ka? I've never been there....if OK, i'll get quotes and then we can firm up and get plans in motion. I hope to firm up by COB Friday and then no more changes on venue/accomodation and dates. We plan activities only and take more particpiants going forth.

Thanks!

I was at Hyatt last year. It is still a nice place. As for parking, should not be a problem parking together as they have another parking lot by the side that can easily accommodate a convoy of 15 - 20 cars.

Will check the rates at Hyatt and revert. No harm getting another quote.

Why not stay at one hotel for two nights... we may even get better rates and do not have to pack/unpack etc... Just a thought.

Calling caling bro Dzuljazz2001... Any connections for Hyatt Kuantan and/or Impiana for really good rates?

i've been to Swiss Garden. it's nice enuff. uncarperted floors tho, slate tiles in rooms instead.

Swiss was renovated few years back. Doesn't feel dated.. Should be ok. What about Awana Kijal?
