I think payment can be done without much cost.. only admin work. If the BMWCM has a bank account, payment can be made into it. So, a possible registration process will be:-
1. Forum user fills in the regular registration form to register a "nick".
2. Before the "nick" is approved, payment must be made to the BMWCM account and details sent to a designated CM.
3. Once the payment is verified, the "nick" is then approved for access in forum.
Bro, to me, BMW enthusiast is someone who likes the brand, and very interested and perhaps passionate about the brand. A "club enthusiast" is someone who likes the activities of the club, and very interested and perhaps passionate about the activities of the club.
So, on one extreme, a "pure" BMW enthusiast can be someone who eats, sleep, dreams BMW, can probably tell you how many screws it takes to built each model and the like, but doesn't like to be with ppl. On the other extreme, a "pure" Club enthusiast can be someone who loves to go for TT, trips and drives in convoy, but thinks BMW makes bicycle (http://www.brooklynmachineworks.com/). Then, there's the rest of us who lies somewhere in between both extremes. That's just my interpretation la...
