Notebook in your car

Rhis happen last night, 1/12 Friday.I parked my car at Subang Parade in front of parkson. I went out with my friends and came back aroundd 2:30. Someone smashed my passanger side window. Upon checking, the only thing missing is my samsonite which I put my laptop in. I put the samsonite in my trunk.So do NOT put your laptop in your car, take it with you.Sould have gone to the e36TT instead of going out with these guys.

wat the helll.. supppose to ask u why arent u joinin us... puttin laptop in the car is a no no thing man.. unless yr car is tinted black heavily like vincent then its ok le... ! but still, i carry where ever i go...

get the replacement of the side windows in a chop shop.. not tat pricey though.. !

they got batt scanners now that can detect if you have a large lithium ion batt

inside the car.. the more powerful the signal, the bigger the batt.. so even if

you tint your car the theif will know.. the scanners can tell if it's a cell phone batt

or laptop batt..

NEVER LEAVE YOUR LAPTOP IN THE CAR UNLESS IT'S WITHIN VIEW..

I heard crooks these days have devices which can detect whether there's a notebook in the boot or not. Dunno if true, but don't take the risk. Loss of years of work and data even more painful than loss of notebook and window damages.

True about the ability of detect notebooks. More than 5 of my friends had their notebooks stolen from their car That's why I lug my notebook and never leave it in the car

I lost mine 7 years ago in 1 Utama, left it in the boot.. Even then, the technology already exist , i.e. batt scanner..

With the scanner, can they tell if what they are detecting is indeed a notebook batt reading or your regular car battery?

I think it can tell the difference because it detects lit-ion batteries and car batteries arent powered by lit-ion.

Went to sharaton for dinner than proceed to galaxy till 2:30 am. My biggest lost is my data, it's a 4 years old NEC P4, not much market price actually is pretty low.

It's a lesson for me. I've been leaving my notebook PC in the trunk thinking it's safe cos how would anyone know it's there. Now that I know there's indeed such a detector, I better place safe too. Hope the loss won't cause you much trouble, daan!

As usual the blardy policecows were so nonchalant about it. Talking about detectors and all. But they have not seen one either.... so what does it look like lah? Or did you have your company logo on the car (IT company or something)...

Uptown is infamous. I know of someone who got robbed of his X5 in Uptown. Hope they got better security now!

KL security is getting very bad. I guess I would have to buy a ultra light laptop now and carry it everywhere I go.

What had this country becoming? Hard working citizen like us are the victims now.
