Hi All,Am on a lookout for a E36. The last one that I viewed was a car bought by one of our members here. Saw another one last night. Some info on the car; year 96, manual with M43 engine. Interior looks good and body was painted a year ago. Replica AC kit with Hamman 17s (owner claims its original - how do I verify that?)Some questions to ask members here if anyone can help from some things that I have note: 1. 1 of the back window was not working. seems like the motor is running but with a loud whirring sound. All the other windows were working fine, just a bit slow (compared to jap cars). is that normal? 2. Are there supposed to be any lights from the light switches on the right and also the aircon controls? 1 off the light for the power window switch is also blown. 3. The back window rubbers are not 'complete'. The top part was stripped off since the rubber became too hard and it broke. That definitely needs to be changed. 4. The gear shift feels very loose. My friend who came along says its most probably some bushing or loose linkage. 5. Car swings to the left when doing handoff braking test - alignment?6. Car comes without alarm and only has 1 drivable key, the other can only open the central locking but cannot be used to start the car. How much would it cost to make another pair. Any idea how much would things above cost to fix? Apart from that, I didn't spot any other major stuff. Engine looks very clean with no sign of any leakages Want to knock the price down a little. My only issue is that the current owner does not keep his receipts from all the servicing done etc... I am quite keen on the car, just wary of making decision based on emotions...but I guess that's what happens when it comes to cars like these....feeling was the same from my first drive off my previous 156... The car is a recond car from Singapore. Does anyone know whether these cars come in with an AP? There were 2 documents given to me, 1 the car grant and 2 a letter from Kastam releasing the car.Sorry for the long post and but any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah, opening price is 35k..nego.
