radio distortion

I am having this problem that when I switched on my car's headlight, I can hear distortion on my FM radio. The sound would not be clear and it distorts, then I also noted the "stereo" indicator goes on and off. Sometimes when I drive on highway, I would not get any reception from the radio.Anybody knows what's wrong? Something wrong with the radio? or the car battery or any other electrical components? Or is this a sign that the battery is gonna go flat soon?By the way, I am using HID system now.Thanks

sounds like a lack of power to the HU issue. Could be the HID draining out the power or not enough power generated via the alternator. Is your battery okay? Are you using the maintenance free batteries? It has an indicator to show if the battery is well charged or not.

Not enough power generated by the alternator? Sounds like a serious problem... you are freaking me out bro. My battery? I dunno, got the car in Jan 07 till now, have not changed the battery. Maybe weak battery? And I dunno what is the age of the battery. Another thing I noted was that when I switch off my headlight, the green indicators on our aircond panel become brighter. Could this be due to weak battery?
