I received the PM regarding the HU, somebody pls help.

-What is Idrive?
-Is it possible to custom skin all the GUI tabs in the unit?
-How to re enable the Wince use.
-How can I change the boot loading logo to my own design.

As I saw 2 ways to control the OBC, one is to keep the original radio unit that have the OBC controler and put it in the gloves box, the other is to install a scanner with WinCE support that wil list a lot of readings.

-Wich one is less complicated and more reliable.
-Can you help me in the purchase of this scanner and how to plug it.

Finally is there any other customisation that could be applied to this unit?

The Stardard GUI is blue in colour. With an firmware updater, you can change it to reddish colour.
Not many choice available. The manufacturer do not allow changing of the GUI

-how can i change the bootloader logo.
You need a bitmap of the logo and bootloader updater.
Just copy it to the microsd card and run it as navi program.

-how can I access the WinCE features by logging out the main program, so then I can install any WinCE application on the device.
You have to use wolfncu program. Run the wolfncu as navi program.

Thank you Jarance for your help and links, and for the firmware you advice me to ask the seller for a firmware? but they are a net seller and I dont think they will support something on the tech level, they just sell items. Anyway i will try to ask? just should i ask for the firmware updater utility or also for the firmware file?

Ok here is the bootup logo that was modified for my car.

Here is the wolfNcu that is running. It can navigate to the Navigation and other WinCe program.

Here is the WolfNcu Menu File which is have an 'I-Drive" screen lookalike.

Here is accesory you get when you purchase it.

Whem you buy the unit, it should have the latest firmware. There is no need to update it.

any news about the new upgraded version? what should be the difference btw wince5 and wince 6, can we already update the previous version to wince6 firmware or do we need the new hardware also? where can i find the new device wince6, i'm still waiting my ordered device to be in the stock till now, so i may pick the new updated one if it's better, any thoughts plz
