I am still having some lagging of 6 second delay with the 2011 Jan Map from MFM.

btw, I read in the MFM forum that they would be updating and map on a monthly basis.

I think MFM update every fortnight

A bit of the hack for the external mic for HLG.

Follow the following procedure.
1. remove the top cover.
2. Remove the securing screws for the DVD player (2 on top and 2 at the bottom)
3. Pull off the DVD player and remove the 2 ribbon (mark it first before pulling off the ribbons)
4. Connect the external mic. If you cannot find a connector, just cut the existing connector and connect it the ext mic cable)

see picture of the place of the mic connector. It is just located beside the buzzer.

havent decide yet. I have temporary taped it on the steering column. still testing whether the voice is cleared when using bluetooth.

ya same but newer release... slightly improve only even with the high baut rate exe file. I think is the prog nid higher processing unit.

The GPS is SiRF III if I am not mistaken in HLG.

An external mic for the HLG.

Found an old mic from my view cam. Open it up and found that the mic is larger.

As the colour of the mic does not match the interior of the car, decide to spray it to matt black.
Undercoat first.

Final coat- matt black

and final product.

Have not try it in my car yet..
