Does the unit dims when the headlight is switched on. Kinda glaring if it doesn't.

There have 2 setting for background light. One for day time, one for nite time, but not auto dim.

Not really. I only got a cuckoo! maybe it because it was not connected/plug in to the car.

OK, confirmed! It was not plug into the car that cause the 'Hardware Faulty". Manage to find an E46 and try it.. Wow ... who.. whweee!! all the data are available as advertised.
