Nokia N95, which i am using, on GPS for an extended period of time is not adviseable.

Battery life sucks and you prob wont make it to your destination. + navigation needs to be paid on as an added feature.

The phone barely can hold its own while making phone calls and sms-ing with the battery dying midway thru the day. Use the GPS and maybe the camera and there it goes.. Pfft :D

thanks k3nny, i also heard of that too from N95 users. I heard that O2 has come up with a PDA with GPS. I think i will invest in that rather than Garmin cause O2 is also a PDA.

Kamen: If you are a fan of Nokia's user friendliness or for any reasons, i've heard the new E90, which also comes with GPS, has a much better battery life. :)

K3nny: i just gathered that you need to pay the telco "everytime" you use the GPS function if you used Nokia or other mobile phone. On the other hand, Garmin is free. For garmin, you only need to pay for the device and that's it, free thereafter....

What about the new E90 that you mentioned?

Dont buy the nokia 95 i have one and the battery sucks u also have to pay for the service gps that is therefore i bought a garmin nuvi 200 which is a basic model good enough to use in malaysia, singapore and Thailand and it is free just buy switch on and travel bought it for RM1100 including maps for pen.malaysia, sarawak, sabah and singapore download thailand as well So dont Buy The Nokia Phones

Dont buy the N95 because of the GPS function, definitely not worth it. If you really need Phone/GPS combo, check out E90, Eten M700 or Dopod D810.

BMWjb, i like dopod as a phone, is their GPS reliable? Moreover, do i need to pay everytime i use the GPS like the N95 or it's free like Garmin?

I thought the gps function on the nokia is free??
I did not notice the fee on my bill..

The GPS is free, but the data download isn't (unless you have turned on unlimited data (whereby you pay a fixed fee) with your phone provider).

Hi Kamen i can answer you all because i imported GPS like Garmin Nuvi and also do service upgrade nokia phone to fully run Garmin latest maps...Honestly i have using and test all devices NUVI, NOKIA,PDA all run Garmin I can say all can run perfectly....but if more user friendly and more practical most i recommended is using Nuvi or stand alone GPS itself can be any brand...unless you have a budget then go for Phone or PDA with buith in GPS. like HTC brand not bad too...but when run GPS is consume a lot of battery I can say all devices battery dry up very fast some even less than one hours...even Nuvi ifself only can last 2 to 3 hours most...but most important used in car charges this what i suggest...Hope i answer some your problem...anyone here if any problem with GPS or want my service upgrade Nokia phone , PDA or Garmin can PM me..or contact my no 012 6352018
