Forgot the shop name la, anyway it just easy to fine. Let say u from Likas to Inanam there was a big traffic light (left to Tuaran, Right to Ira Manis and Straight to Inanam) go straight just after traffic light on your left u can see a row of old shop lot, the 1st shop was radiator shop and the last was the mention cushion shop.

I think i know the shop you are referring to... will pay them a visit when am free... thanx...

Petrus, Izzit true u have to apply and pay a fees of RMxxx.xx before AB KK can entertain your car (if recond)?

Yeah, it is true previously you have to pay registration fee of RM500.00 with AB. I think even with their new cars you need to pay registration which is already included in the price. But once the car is registered with AB, the next owner can still send to AB since it is already registered. One of my fren bought a 2nd hand X5 and since the car already registered with AB previously, they can send back to AB.

However, now I heard they no longer accept recond / 2nd hand vehicles for new registration this year. They only continue to service and maintain 2nd hand / recond cars that were already registered with them before this year. Marketing strategy i assume.

I had to pay for the registration previously coz I really wanted a BMW Specialist to perform an overall check with the car since it was second hand. From their inspection, the major item that I had changed was the radiator with the sensors and hoses, and also the cylinder lock that was coded. They confirmed to me everything else was in good condition. But apart from that, I am quite happy with their service so far.

Just curios, if u do wrap up your seats with leather, will they be able to change the door panels to the leather as well since the airbags at the door panels might be a problem??

Upgrades oh Upgrades !!!!

Recently, i couldn't sleep for so many nitez thinking that my car very STOCK ..!!!:106:

So, since I think i really need some sleep... :sleep: , decided to upgrade some features on my ride (alasan)

The following are some of the recent upgrades. Sorry the pic qualities are very bad since taken from PHONE camera.

1) I find the stock headlight really not bright at nite (seriously), so I decided to change to HID with additional angel eyes ... :rock:

First, take out old headlight and install ballast for HID:

2) Then, decided to go shopping for new shoes.

Found this 18" BBS - RX. I like the rim, but I dont like the Red RIM cap, so ask to change to different colour :stupid:

My stock rim being taken out after being in service with me for few months:

New rims without the cap yet (coz waiting for the new caps to arrive)

3) Then at the same time take opportunity to carry out oil servicing and change gear box oil + filter + gasket :

4) Then, feel still not enuff,:motz: so decided to change tail light to facelift type :top:

Now, still waiting for SMG body kit to arrive. Supposed to arrive last week, but got some delivery problems. Will upload pics when done :top:

Since now already pokai, need to recuperate first.

Next in line will be :-
a) Paddle shift steering (already asked sis in US to order, but then suddenly my other 4wds need servicing and repairs, so cancel first) :hmmmm2:

b) M5 side mirrors (xcrave keep on racun me for this :motz

c) Re-wrapped upholstrey

My Angel eyes still sitting at the shelf at home donno when to install... but once my Morimoto H1 comes in that will be it... planning a lot of things in short time = pokai oso huhuhu...:smokin::vollkommenauf:

Actually they gave me option to change the BBS caps to BMW caps, but I prefer the BBS caps. Dun ask me why, just personal preference :rock:

Scratched rims

Just to share, one my rim (left hand side rear) was badly scratched due to hitting a curb as a result of avoiding one big pot hole. :102:

However, I manage to find a place that refurbish rims in KK. Initially, the worker quoted me RM50.00 only include dismantling tyre and putting it back.

After 3 hours, I came back and my rims are like new again. :69:

No signs of scratch at all. But then, the boss said the price RM80.00. Reason he said my rim "keras". :motz: *sigh*

Didn't bother that much and just paid the extra RM30.00 since was in a rush. But apart from that, i am happy my rims are back to normal. :rock:

Now i need to look for exhaust tip since my exhaust seems to be quite tucked inside the bumper.

And finally,I cleaned my engine :top:

LESSON LEARNED: IF YOU WANT TO AVOID POT HOLES, MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO ROAD CURBS NEXT TO YOU !!!

It is not done at tyre shop. That place only do refurbishing rims job. It is in Putatan, Sabah.
