A BMW can be described in one simple, yet true statement, "From the outside you don't understand, from the inside you can't explain". I'm here to share my experience of my humble ride. It's an E36 328i Auto, 1997. Enjoy !

Previously have owned a couple of nothing to shout about cars which was, Saga Megavalve(had fun and lots of learning), Waja(most boring in my list), Civic EK(fair and reliable), Ford Tx3 '92(A memorable fun car), EG6 B18C(was a pocket rocket), Perdana EVO3(Road Bully), and Kelisa(a smart car). Finally got my long awaited dream and looks like no turning back. To be honest I appreciate older Bimmers more. Not that I do not like the new models but somehow the interior and dash of newer Bimmers aren't as appealing. The lines of older Bimmers were more macho. No disrespect to the new fellas. Some of the other favorites are E30, E34, E24, E32, E31 and a bit newer will be E46, E39 and E38. E30 & E34 has always been playing on my mind. Hopefully some day.

Pros: Strong Engine, Agile Handling, Stylish Cockpit, Almost Superior Braking and Safety.
Cons: Prepare to Repair, Premium Gas Prices, The itch never stops.
The Bottom Line: If you are in search for the meaning of life, this is the car for you. Others need not apply.

Purchase:
Bought over from my brother. Personal loan directly to him and to be honest we never spoke about the price and just agreed a small fee on a monthly basis. So basically I'll stop paying when I'm tired. He should read this ! Haha

Driving:
They don’t call this the Ultimate Driving Machine for nothing. Driving this car is a joy in itself. It can turn your worst day into an immeasurable life-changing experience. When you drive this car you will be one with the road. Complete serenity surrounds you and the hum of the engine sends the driver into a euphoric state of bliss. For some, the meaning of life will be found while driving this car. Others will find that life suddenly has meaning, it just took a BMW to find what it is.

Performance:
The 24v 193 horsepower I6 engine propels the automatic 328i from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds. A truly remarkable feat that leaves other drivers on the road bewildered, at least during it's young days and era.

Handling:
The car is a magnet and the road is a piece of metal. When you accelerate, an invisible hand comes down and pushes the car as you steer. With this, you are not on the road, you are a part of it. The near perfect 50/50 balance also contributes to the cars world-class handling. In emergency handling maneuvers, the car handles almost intuitively. With the ASC, your handling and control improves in bad weather.

Safety:
Many have tried and few have come close to matching the superior safety that BMW provides to its occupants. To impart a feeling of security when driving or riding in this luxury/performance sedan BMW has incorporated much of the latest technology in safety for its occupants. Among the items are airbags, seatbelt tensioners, anti-lock brakes and a solid chassis.

Styling:
For it's age, I must say it has not gone out of shape until today. A head turner, I'm not sure but I do turn my head each time I park and look over glass windows at shops and buildings when I pass by. The interior has some flaws on the ABC panels otherwise the dash is one of my favorite with the cockpit concept. Very driver oriented.

Overall:
For the price I paid, I couldn't have found a better car. With so many aspects to be proud of, nothing in that price range can give so much joy and fun. It's a balance between power, comfort, luxury, styling, technology, and the list go on..and above all it's a BMW. Hopefully to share some pics and maintenance which I have and to learn more from here.

Adios,
