My friend in Singapore told me E66 740Li is also using inline 6 cylinders 3 litres engine like 730Li but with Turbo charger. i checked wiki-pedia no such information. i search the web and found some info which says 740 uses 4 litre V8 engine.

Bro Maccasel, what engine yours is using?

Not for E66 bro, is the F01 and F02 model...

yeah black & white collection on purpose. car porch not big enough for another one in the middle, ha ha. unless remove the garden grass and cover with tiles. (my wife will kill me for that)

Nice cars but nicer house!

Not fended and without a gate, a bit like the US style.

Yes, is gated and guarded without individual fencing. not every one can accept this style but all residents in it are extremely satisfied. (for your information, we dun even have grill on our windows)

Hehe, most of the occupants there drive BMW. There's a M3 wannabe in front of EL 118 house too..

To clarify, most of the residents "you know" drive BMWs.

I noticed there is one self-built bungalow with 2 E66 7 series, 1 E60 M5, 1 S-Class, 1 Panamera & 1 Cayenne!

Was invited to BMW Glenmarie private sales yesterday. they sold a marvelous 80 cars within 1 1/2 days, out of which about 10% F02 730Li. ( all pre-reg)

Test drove the F02 730Li again. can feel improvement over E66. the main difference as follows

i) Use back transmission stick instead of lever at the steering. steptronic also better (over the one on the steering, my own opinion).
ii) All manuals fully loaded in idrive
iii) comfort, normal, sport and sport plus drive ( E66 only comfort and sport)
iv) Engine temperature gauge ( finally back after massive complaints)
v) Reverse camera with guiding line of turning
vi) better active steering and turning radius
vii) Quieter than the already very quiet E66.

So tempting!

One thing lacking - the head up display to show the speed on the windscreen as prevailing in F10. and at the moment impossible to retro-fit according to the sales person .

Hey bro,
Mine is the v8 4000 cc.....as far as I know, only the new sevens uses the twin turbos...the e65/66 still using as per their badge model.....

That is my understanding also. but my friend confirmed he saw one E66 740Li with 3 litres engine + turbo. he said got an alphabet "A" behind 740Li or something. strange.

maybe clone one aledi....hehehe....

btw bro, is your car tinted? i tinted mine and now can see reflections on the windows...abit difficult to see at night...tint guy says its normal for cars like these coz of the double glazed window.....dunno true or not

I used Llumar Diamond 6. no reflection issue and guarantee JPJ compliance. just one thing i found it not dark enough looking from outside thus not "class" enough. but to make it darker will not be JPJ compliance, so dilemma.

Mine is certainly dark enough....but these niggling issue of reflection.....sigh

My average FC is 13.5l/100km. always wonder how to get the official statistic of 10.1l/100 km (mixed). Yesterday "lightened" my right foot and maintain around 120km/h on NKVE. the range + km travelled combined shown on screen improved to 800km (normally around 650km). Seemed like possible to achieve the 10Litre /100 km target. will try next time travel up to Penang or down to Singapore with 1 full tank return.

Eric,

The official statistic of 10.1L/100 km I assumed is based on new car. My e39 525i official statistic 10.3L/100 km was achieved by replacing the pre-cat O2 sensors (qty 2) and MAF. Before the replacement, my fuel consumption was 11.5L/100 km.
