Imagine just a week from overseas and your fairly new E60 is already dead cannot engage the gear. Last nite came back and needed to go somewhere with my car. When I started the car the screen showed all kinds of nasty warning messages. Don't know what's all that about but couldn't engage the gear even the brake was pressed to the fullest. Called the AB toll free line and that guy came over 45 mins later. But he couldn't solve and needed to get the car to their workshop. Got to thank AB for their fairly fast response even night time around 9.30pm. But no thanks to BMW for the crap that's happening. Now the car is in the workshop and hope they'd call me shortly to inform me of "bad" news but I do hope for quick solution to the problem.

aiya...car went to sleep.. maybe miss you..

honest... sometimes cars this high tech can cause you misery..

what i do usually, is to leave the car to someone to start and drive around and park it back every two days.

regards.

It couldn't be the battery as that guy already checked last nite. I'm still waiting for their feedback as I need to know how long the car needs to be at their workshop to plan for alternative transportation. Still no update from them yet since morning 8.30...

Now the AB guy called and said the gearbox oil leaked! Cannot imagine a new car can have oil leak so soon. He suspected the oil seal spoilt and it's estimated to take a week to fix up !!! Told them to arrange for me alternative transportation or else ...

This Auto Bavaria Glenmarie really sucks. They don't bother to call you back even we called and left message. I called them last two days to find out abt my car's conditions and they don't even have the courtesy to call back to update. I only managed to get them this morning. That also I've to call them again. Excuse given was they called my number and different person picked up. What a rubbish excuse !!!

Finally they said BMW already approved to change my whole gearbox! I'm not sure what's cooking but I hope later on no other parts gonna give me problem. I told that guy why the car only 4 months and I'm facing this problem. Cannot imagine how long the car gonna last??

Sorry to hear about your problems. I send my car to AB Glenmarie too. But I have friend who is the supervisor in there. He tries to help how ever he can but still some of the problems that I had sent in to be fixed is not fixed well. It is minor stuff like noise from the driver seat due to suspect loose seat railing, driver door step panel creaking after they had changed the rubber lining, power window that won't close all the way, radio station muting by itself, bluetooth disengages in mid conversation, etc. I now have to find time to go back there again to get it fixed. It is the to and fro that pisses me off.

Well, I can only conclude that a company is only as good as the people working there. You'll find monkeys and also leaders. I'm sure somewhere in BMW and AB there are some good staff that we can talk to who can take charge of issues and truely treat us as customers and not just another pain in the ass complainer. If that's what they think we are, then I guess that's what we will be until we get what we want. We have invested a substantial $$ into a new BMW and should be treated like a customer.

Other than those minor stuff, my 525i has been a dream to drive for the last 1 year. Until today I am still very in love with my ride. It gives me great pleasure just to see another e60 on the road and thinking that's what my ride looks like from outside...damn good looking ride!!

:yahoo:

Nice to hear JohnChen abt your love for your car. Me too, I love the ride. I still haven't given up on that car. Still loved it. Like you said, it's the staff that gets to you sometimes. Sometimes we got to deal with those monkeys that got to our nerves. Other than that, hope everything will work out well ...

Feel your pain and frustration, bro. Having spent so much of your hard earned money only to have the supposedly state-of-the-art machine fail on you.
