Guys,Something interesting happened this morning.I parked my car and put it to parking mode and when i came back and put to reverse gear, the car didn't engaged and as if it was on neutral. In D it was ok :top:Drove it back to my mechanic and when i got there, the reverse gear was working :eek:The mechanics advice before putting into P was:-Before entering P, let it engaged the Reverse gear (after the slight jerk [meaning engaged]) thenpush it to PI'll bring to check on Tuesday again to check underneath the car.Anybody encounter a similar problem?

bro, i experienced exactly the same thing as u....happen to me last week, under the lowyat basement parking...but i just drove with D and after 1hour++, sudenly everything back to normal.....so far so good...wish everything will be ok for atleast 1 year,he..

kby*88* ahahha Ok i'll pray with you together gether ha ha.

Anyway i'll get it check and get back to you..

I encountered something similar once! Got home, tried to engage the Reverse gear but nothing happened! The stick was loose and it was able to move up & down without any resistance. Towed the car to Dr. Meng the next morning and found out that 1 of the 2 screws securing the shift cable to the gear box was missing. Replaced the screw and everything was fine since then. Phew! Thank god it was not a wallet breaking problem!!

dansyw - i've sent mine to check as well. Nothing was wrong, screw was on. Its running like normal now. So weird.

It could be the gearbox selector switch wearing problem.
Have it checked by the mechanic to be sure.

happened to me again last nite...traveling back to KL, park at the petronas rest area, and it hapen again...luckily got 2 abg hensem help me tolak my car for me to get out from the parking,uhu...quite embarrassing actually,haha....

after reach my house, the reverse working as usual...this morning also everything was fine...huh....

i believe somthing to do with the selector....because last nite, it was loose and so soft when i move the gear stick from P to R...

at the same time, i also have some feeling saying that its somthing to do with the reverse solenoid...sifu, can clarify?
need to bring the car to see doctor d....

Hi,

I experienced the same problem the 3rd day i got my car. Quickly send it back to the kedai and ask him to repair (he gave me 1 month guarantee...hehe) They sent it to AB Glenmarie. He said the gearbox sensor thingy was faulty and costs him arnd 2k to repair. Now no more problem.
