Bro, this is a very dangerous statement... mis-read it can lead people to Holland! U must take into consideration of your tyre condition, car balance, suspension condition, water on the road and even the pot hole on the road which was not there yesterday, maybe there's a stall car right after the exit of the curve and again, wasn't there yesterday..

Malaysian Road Department does not impose speed limit on specific corners, but rather speed limit for entire stretch for both straights and corner. I find even some highway 110kph limit corner is a little over when the road is wet with running water crossing the road... one tip for safe driving is Murphy's Law must always be applied.

I agree that the statement can be dangerous when applied wrongly. But I'm sure you would also agree that tyre condition, car balance, suspension condition should be optimum, if not safe at all times, regardless if you're doing hard cornering or not. =)

And I do understand that they impose such speed limits with safety in mind. But you can't blame me really. Some of those corners are just sooo tempting. =p Thus why I came up with the x2 rule. It's fast, but still a manageable, controllable, and most importantly, enjoyable speed to take the corner. =D

But of course, I honestly don't recommend anyone to drive this way. It's merely a personal preference. And I do apologise for imposing such dangerous driving habits to our fellow forumers. =/

Hey, dun need to apologize... you were good driving that day.. we knew that it was going to whack us around the corners when we were having breakfast even..

cool...

Hahaa.... just trying to be cautious a little because we don't know who is reading our posting.. I see many UDM owners are becoming younger these days whom I think have not even driven a JDM before... after getting use to UDM's renowned handling and a sudden switch to JDM also can be lethal...

I trust we all are responsible adults.. ;)

I have another a big dilemma to share though after the spirited drive..

My BSRI 1st service WAS displayed on the OBC to be 23k-28k km before the drive. So I did a 5k km oil change and 15k km oil change is planned to be next, which is 2k km away (now odo 13k km) after which I shall be set for another 8k-10k km until I reach the condition based 23k-25k km service under BSRI.

However, after the spirited drive my OBC now show next service at 18k km !!!! The drive took away 5k km of my engine oil life!!

Meaning if I do oil change even now (at 13k), 18k is just another 5k km away and its going to be a waste of my Torco oil.. :(

HOW? Will the 18k km on the OBC "grow" to 25k km if I stop doing spirited drive?

Astro, you have the reading mistakenly read.
The 18k km shown on OBC is the balance distance due for the next service. So its just correct that you planned to change to TORCO now, in this case you'll have to run your fresh TORCO for another 9k km to 10k km, then, the balance of 8k km to 10k km you can send your ride to Ingress to have the BSRI duely done.

Ooo.... is it? So the OBC oil change counter is a count down meter la...

Still not right ma... If the OBC service mileage is 25k km to start with, I'm now at 13k km, so 25-13=12k km what... so if I replace my oil, say at 15k km (2k km away), by then the OBC count down would only reach 18-2=16k km till my next BSRI oil change. Engine oil how to last 16k km la? Some more this car got go spirited drive le.. it still does not adds up..:stupid:

.. soon.. it will be a night blast! pinjam the theme from Singapore F1.. need to adjust ya headlights

Aiyo night drive ah...susah la our old cars don't have adaptive headlights!
