After washing the car just now, I was suprised to see that UQD was still beading and sheets water faster than Optimum Opti Seal! UQD and OOS was applied 8 days ago.

That's an excellent report, slk.

You've got me convinced more than any amount of advertising can do.

Good job.

Thanks Lee. But please be aware that i find UQD doesnt bring anything in term of optics (gloss/shine/wetlook)

Just wanted to share my experience with UQD. Absolutely amazing stuff. Shine seems even shinier the day after you apply it. Water also beads like crazy and dirt doesn't seem to stick so easily. Excellent product.

Some pics attached.

After reading the reviews and watching the sample video, I decided UQD is a must try product.

My verdict, is that my expectations were more than what the product delivered. Its a decent product, a bit on the pricey side for a mist and wipe, and like SLK, I find that it doesnt enhance the look of the car significantly. After curing for 12 hrs, the surface feels smoother (expected). Effort to apply is harder than the regular QD, as the UQD doesn't seem to like to stick to the paint. I.e. after misting and wiping, you wonder if theres any UQD really sticking to the paint LOL.

Anyway, I have yet to see how long it lasts and how well it beads water. For effort, bottle says 10 mins to do it, but I took my time 30 ~45 mins, and the normal QD seems easier to apply.

I'll give it a few more days and see how long this UQD lasts. Comparing it to something like EGP, I would say that I am happier with the effort/result outcome of EGP so far over UQD.

EGP is not a mist and wipe product but rather a sealant, so comparing it with UQD is apples and oranges all over again *hehe*

Ya true. I am tempted to compare as QUD positioned for after waxing, and yet provides a seemingly sealant like layer on top of the paint which is non-porus, beads water and supposed to last long...heh.

But I know la.. its different type of products heh. Effort wise and product pricing, its similar IMHO.

Got caught in the rain yesterday, which for the first time I was looking forward to heh. The water beads with UQD is not as cute and pretty as what I've seen with EGP, where its hundreds of seemingly same sized very small water beads. UQD is more ununiformed, some small some big.. meaning its beading water but not as consistent.

Anyway, washed the car this morning and noticed with UQD its seems easier to wash as the surface is smooth. After wiping dry, the surface still feels smooth, meaning that its somewhat durable.

However, I am a bit dissapointed with the optics. The surface is less glassy and clear, almost flatter. I am quite obsessed with a nice sharp clear coat/glass layer look over the paint which brings out the sparkles and reflection very well on the E90 and sparking graphite color. UQD doesn't seem to magnify this effect if anything makes the color a bit "flatter" and while shiny its not "clear glass like". Anyone else care to share their experience with UQD?

Thanks Funj. Your review deals with what I wanted to know more. I've only applied EGP once and it's been quite durable. I'm planning to do it again. BTW, how many times have you applied EGP already since we both got our cars almost the same time?

Oh, I also used NXT Speed Detailer for the first time yesterday since I'm already using all the other NXT stuff. I found it a bit better than the regular QD (hence justifies the added price!) but as easy to apply. Again, I'm not sure if it's more durable but the gloss and glass-like effect was more pronounced i.e. the car looked like it's just been NXT Tech waxed.

got my hands on UQD. Applied it on my Toyota. Almost 2 weeks,on and off driving on d road, washed 1x with water without soap... wiped every 2 days.. parked in-door... still smooth and beads water quite well. On the other hand, i've applied on my daily driven E34... washed 3x by car wash centres.. still beads water quite well but d deep gloss effect is gone... but it has been 2 weeks.. jes applied another layer of UQD just now... it rained... d water is like little pins on my car... kinda reminds me of the pinned head in hell raiser... :) thumbs up... really Easy to be applied... less than 10 mins

Washed the car last week and noticed that UQD was still beading/sheeting water faster than Opti-seal after 1 month++ of application. No idea on how does it protect the finish againts dirt because the test car is black in colour. I shall conduct a test on a different coloured car soon :)

Same conclusion here. UQD is extremely durable for a mist and wipe!! I've washed my car 4-5 times since the application, and its still beading well. Also noticed that its easier to wash the car as dirt slides off easier when apply shampoo. Probably good for the paint preventing hairline scratches as well.

Shine wise... no big impact from UQD in my opinion.

Eh E46F, where did you get your UQD? After your feedback, I'm gonna give it a try too. BTW, did you get a good price?

I got mine at ACE Hardware at Ikano power center. I think it was RM68 or RM72 (cant exactly remember) i.e. normal price.

Give it a shot and let us know your findings!

So, it's good that I decided to get it during the detailing clinic at 20% off, RM 54.40

Last time you used to be able to get Meg's stuff from outside at 10% off from most places. Perhaps that discount is no more.
