Wow. Thanks, slk. I'm interested in the product. I wonder if anyone can organise a group buy since we've had some dealings with MG in the past? Keeeevster?!! How la, bro?!

I hope the new polymer will cause a more long lasting effect cos the present Quik Detailer wears off too quickly for the effort! At RM68, it's pretty pricey tho!

Meguiar's new Ultimate Quik Detailer offers the highest amount slickness, gloss, and polymer protection of any of our spray detailers. In addition, it offers Hydrophobic polymers that produce extreme water beading for those of you looking for water beading as a characteristic.

See UQD in action :D

That's great! It's certainly what I wanted to hear and hopefully, the results confirm their claims!! I use this a lot to protect against the harsh elements in Malaysia and cos it's relatively quik and simply to apply unlike conventional waxing which I can only do once a week or so.

Oh my god.

This is equivalent to dangling a new drug in front of addicts.

The recent start of the haze season has not been good for my car's surface.

This is timely. Thanks for the info, SLK.

Ill test for durability once I get it end of this week. FYI, you can get it from Hypercoat USJ starting tomorrow :D

Ur welcome bro!

It's essentially a quick detailer so don't expect much of a protection from it. Any gloss from your paintwork will originate from a good surface preparation and quality wax/sealant.

So in your opnion is the video rigged to show results we can't replicate by just using the Ultimate QD?

If that is the case, I wonder how much better Ultimate QD is better than the original QD?

MG Ultimate Quik Detailer VS Optimum Opti Seal.

Test subject : My Suzuki Swift. It was detailed 2 months ago with various Meguiar's products by myself. The car was washed and wax every week with M21.

The contender : Optimum Opti-Seal Spray Sealant(OOS) :D

Car was washed just now with MG Gold Class Shampoo and no surface prep was done.

Firstly section the hood in to half. OOS on the left side, MG UQD on the right side.

Water beading test : It seems that both products beads water equally.

Water Sheeting test : Here come the best part. UQD sheets water like madness!

Thanks for the report, slk! You got me pretty interested already. Too bad it might take some time before UQD is available in most retail outlets I frequent.

Ur welcome bro. Currently you can only get UQD from Hypercoat USJ only.

After washing the car just now, I was suprised to see that UQD was still beading and sheets water faster than Optimum Opti Seal! UQD and OOS was applied 8 days ago.
