from overseas bmw club forums, the head of m50 engines (like those on 520i 24v models) are prone to failure even though coolant is regularly changed. some even said it is only a matter of time.can the forummers here share their experience on head problems on m50 engines and overall m50 engine reliability (for example how to check for plastic water impeller pump vs metal (better) water impellers)?
