Any M Sport owners here are mad at the fact that BMW didn't bother to make the M Sport footrest for the RHD?
I was browsing around and found that all RHD M Sport F30 has that ugly black color default footrest instead of the nice aluminum with the M engraved footrest.

I ordered the M Performance Brake/Accelerator pedal set and I suppose it's gonna look something like this when I got it installed.

Feels sooo incomplete.

seriously F***ing ugly....damn it...u spend like nearly 800k and you get is a plastic with metal sheet pedal??????

My perspective is that I am glad BMW spends the bulk of their R&D dollars on the performance and handling of their cars rather than pimping out the interiors such as fancy footrests. And I hope they continue to do so.

That said, the demand for more luxurius interiors, by the growing customer base cannot be ignored (comments above testify to this), BMW is going to start throwing R&D money at what the customers want. BMW is already starting to offer more and more luxuries for their interiors. Well I like luxury as much as the next person, but hopefully not at the expense of performace and handling. Motoring legislation is already seeing the demise of NA engines and directly connected steering columns all in the name of greener emmisions and lower consuption. Shame really, where would the enthusiasts go.....

As seen in some other forums that discuss right hand drive M cars. Yeah :/

I agree with your perspective but, come on, it's a footrest for Pete's sake, what sort of advance R&D it takes to design an already existed pedal to fit the Right hand drive cars?

Yep that's what every 2/3/4 series owners gets regardless of their trims. Strangely though the 5 series F10 M sport footrest is both RHD/LHD compatible.

well, yeah....well not really bothered about the interior. as long as they do the job and serve for the purpose. of course you want something fancy. but yeah.. they r doing it at their best. hope the best for BMW. they do have great Think tank team available in Bavaria Munich.

You'll never know...someone from BMW might just be reading in on the comments.

IMG_0065.JPGThere many ways you can have the M-Performance RHD footrest as seen in photo.

Buy the left hand drive pedal and get the car accessories guy to trim it to size.

Buy the RHD version from HKG Pasco as follows: < http://www.pasco-hk.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=25_70_79&product_id=102 >

Cheapest is try Taobao in China where there are tons of M-Performance pedals.
Holy shit lol, how'd you do that? I have actually intending to purchase a LHD footrest from Taobao and see how I can make it fit.
Any shop you can recommend that can do that?

Thanks a lot!

Most car accessories shop can do it.
All they do is trace the outline onto the FHD footrest and cut it to size. The M-Performance footrest is tape onto the 'black' footrest.
I am in Johor so the shop might not be suitable to you.

My take on the DIY modification of the footrest. I'm pretty happy with it. Took me no more than 30mins with some tracing and cutting with the Makita cutter.

Nice work, feels balanced. Personally prefer priority on performance n handling. Then again once you have it you'll want a matching interior.
