Hi, I lost one of my keys. What are the cheapest options to make a new one?

I have a similar question, my car's remote no longer work, both main and spare. I did a little bit of a reading and found that the battery are not designed to be replaceable, instead it has a rechargeable battery inside. Don't see any screw with the key fob so I think I may need some help from professionals :/

It's the e46 diamond type key

The E46 key have to be cut open in order to change the battery. You can seal it back with silicon glue.

Before you do anything to your keys, pls meet me yam cha and let me full test your car first. Alot of ppl facing same problem not due to the battery. It can be the car itself or remote board itself. Once you meet me for sure you will know your car still ok or not.

Just a little bit of a update, I managed to get the spare key work, tried the re-initialisation and I could get it working. But I tried to re-program the second key, it wouldn't work. I will drive the car around with the key and see if it can recharge the battery and try again.

But anyhow, I got one of the key working so all is good haha

Did you do the resync one after the other? if you do the resync and the other later, it will desync the other key which is sync.

Yep, followed the instruction but didn't work.

For the first key I did this
1. Key in and ignition to ACC
2. Within 5 sec, remove the key. Press and hold the arrow button, then press the BMW lock button for 3 times.
3. The car responds by locking and unlocking the central lock.
4. Successful.

Then immediately within 30 secs, I tried with the second key from procedure number 2 but no responds.
