could have seep thru from underneatch the car or from the transmission tunnel or the firewall. u got to find some holes to plug

Try checking your firewall, there's bound to be a few rusted holes. Don't forget to check the battery compartment as the area is most prone to rust.

Lastly, check the undercarriage and see if thee's rust too right unde your seat.

hey ding,

there are many possibilities where the water could have come in. from your explaination, the water is just slowly trickling in. that's the worst kind of leak.

one of my very own experiences would be a little leak from the rear! i took a small bump at the back which looked harmless. the gap between the rear lights and body widened ever so little and let in trickles of water. and walla! after many weeks only i knew. the water gathered at the spare tyre compartment which i din notice and went into the cabin when i brake hard.

maybe not in your case but just to let you know, if all testing with water sprays fail, the best way would be to take everything out of the cabin, (good time to do cleaning, lubrication and rust obsevation as well), take the carpet out and see for yourself where the water is coming from ... once and for all.

i did mine myself. it was a proton so not very complicated. also a mechanic fren of mine was there to help. padded with sound proofing before reinstalling everything. i din take one day, it took a few slow days. whenever i needed to drive the car, i just put back the driver seat and speedometer. (even my dashboard was out! to check firewall)

hope that will motivate you to DIY instead of paying. hehehe
