Hi all,

I am 328i (F30) owner and experinecing handeling problem; where I find myself fighting with the steering when I hit 180 and above, the car is boucy and I lost my
confident to run fast on it. Few issue need advise:

1. I was told it is common the BMW car are not so easy to handel. Is that right? I also have a VW Golf myself, I can hit 220 with firm steering and car is very stable.
Cannot imagine 328i is not doing any better than that.
2. Am thinking of installing KW V2, I like the idea that I can adjust the damping by turning the click myself. But I was also told KW have problem the leaking of oil and
the warranty are not so friendly.

Appreciate if anyone can share some idea and opinion.

Thanks guys :)

There is no active suspension therefore on sports mode does nothing to the suspension.

Your 328 is it m-sports or before m-sports.

F30 has been design with more comfort in mind compared to the previous 3 series.
Example one generation before, the e90 msports suspension are stiff. if you were to sit in the rear you will feel it.

Compare to the f30 it is design to have more comfort in mind.

Also another key point to understand is compared with the VW, f30 is a rear wheel drive. therefore the handling is different compared to front wheel drive.

Best way to learn is via the driving class.

Hi kelvinP and Slyder:

Thanks for sharing, my 238i is the first batch of SKD, before M-sport, and yes, I learn that M-sport have DCC that will be really helpful for my case. But too bad.

Sport mode in my car only make the steering harder, it helps when on high speed, but not helpful enough, when corner and over taking I still struggle to manage it.

I suppose people who wanted comfort can go for the luxury version since BMW have me to choice inbetween sport and Luxury., So my one is the sport becuase
I travel north south weekly and I want to run fast. I suppose that's the reason why BMW have two version of 328? But I don't understand why they put so much
comform in a Sport version?

I been driving for pass 25 years, clock everage 50K to 60K a year, front wheel, real wheel, all wheel all experience that I have never give me this, Had also paid
thousands for some so call "driving class" which may not be fruitful; and I really don't think is about FW or RW.

But, Thanks for the advise Slyder.

I come VW GTI and I have the same feeling too when driving my 328. The suspension is on the soft side and don't give you much confidence especially at high speed. One of the solutions is to upgrade to a firmer after market suspension system or you could also go for M Performance suspension.

If I am not wrong, there's no difference between the sports and luxury edition except for some aesthetic parts like rims, seats, interior trims and body kits. So it's not actually a true sports edition that you would want to expect.

Yes I have a friend's KW V2 which is currently leaking oil (one only) and he can't claim warranty on it because it is over already. He is trying to figure out a way to get it resolved and local dealerships here have turned a blind eye. He is looking at Autovox in Singapore now but haven't heard any updates from him yet.

Go for the M Performance setup bro. I think its closest you can get to the M-Sport suspension found on the 320d M-Sport which is doing very well at high speeds. The 328i M-Sport adaptive suspension is another story all together haha.

i have just done a Tapah rest area to Kota kemuning in 45mins. averaging around 173kmh and topped at 235. cruising at 210. and very very comfortable + confident. on titans and stock springs.
