This has been flogged a lot on the net but i wonder if there are any users here. Its said to be very durable, glossy but wonder if these will hold out in our equatorial climate. The last thread was some time ago & i really wanted to test the product out but it seems that they can only be obtained in singapore. Quite tempted to drive down for a detailing session as its only ard RM350 & then buy some products there.Anyone had prior experience using them ?Thx !

Hello...

Zaino product is definitely more superior in terms on long lasting and depth. Basically you should call this chap, Albert who has a shop (Pro Detailer) in Sunway Damasara. He car is red civic which uses Zaino. I did my Klasse job there but the shine or gloss is not a deep as his.

His number is 012-6394269. My name is Calvin driving a E30 and EF.

He is pretty chatty fella. Give him a ring.

I would recommend zaino over klasse due to its durability in our climate. it is one of the longest lasting sealants available. it is extremely glossy but lacks the warmth of carnaubas such as Swisswax Onyx.
i currently have 6 layers of z5-pro using the ZFX accelerator on my murano and it has held up for more than 2 months already.
z2-pro for metallic cars
z5-pro for solid color cars (it has fillers)

maxx: How much are the consumer Zaino products? Are the roughly same price as say, Meguiars? Or more expensive?

dripinrain, if you have some time, head down to autodetailer at sec 13 pj. Brian from zainoasia (sin rep responsible for this region) has been doing some bonnnet panel test there. Worth taking a look at the results as the bonnet sample was weather tested for a month against its contemporary conpetitors. Look for Darren and sorry i do not work for AD.

erm i'm not sure where to buy or how much they cost in malaysia or singapore but i bought z2-pro for AUD$36 (RM108), z5-pro for AUD$45 (RM135) and the ZFX Accelerator for AUD$45 (RM135)
From what i remember the Meguiar's NXT isnt cheap either...about RM120 i think?
and zaino produces much better results.

maxx: Oh yeah I forgot you're down under, not here in KL. Hrm... well if Zaskar says AutoDetailer has it, perhaps I shall give Darren a call then haha.

Darren/Brian is testing, he does not stock it yet.

haha yeah im in melbourne atm...usually bring a box of detailing products back but my next trip is not due for another 7 months or so :bawling:

the other thing is if you can get enough interest for a groupbuy for any hard to find detailing products and split the shipping, i don't mind helping you courier some stuff from over here. shouldnt cost much for shipping.
can get my hands on p21s, zaino, zymol, swisswax, klasse, optimum,FI etc etc

To give you an idea what z5-pro looks like on a solid black car here are some photos. it is a very clinical finish with lots of depth and gloss but lacks in warmth.

zaskar: OOh sorry, misinterpretation. :p

maxx: That's a sweet looking ride man. I'm still trying to get such a finish with my RB haha.

Hey guys,

Yes I've been running a range of testing with the latest Zaino products at my garage for the last few weeks. We've actually been routinely testing products from Meguiar's, Menzerna, SmartWax and a number of other companies over the last few years for acclimatization, application and a list of other factors. I wanted to see how the Zaino products would hold up against a number of different sealant products.

I have some initial impressions of Zaino's AIO, Z5 Pro, Z2 Pro, ZFX Accelerant, ZCS, Z6 & Z8. They can be found on my detailing blog. It will give you a brief understanding on 2 out of 3 main criteria's in selecting a high-quality sealant, which is:

1) Gloss & Sleekness
2) Ease of Application
3) Durability (this will be available after our 2nd month of testing which should be somewhere early April)

I'd reserve my comments about Klasse as it is a fairly good DIY product but I wouldn't rank it up there with the best. It's also aged quite a bit already.

Here's a teaser photo of one of the test cars used with multiple Zaino layering...

Cheers!

Btw, long time no see Nick... *hehe*

Zipped into prodetailers and saw the staff working on the red civic. Whoa.. so nice & smooth. Too bad my car is silver which i guess with the best of products will not achieve that kind of result.

Anyhow not giving up & getting restless in this wet weather. Got my car prepared professionally but all the wax/sealant is washed away in the torrential rain. Will zaino be that magic formula which will last a bit longer & stay on the paintwork ?

Checked wit prodetailers but albert has yet to offer zaino at his place n i guess autodetailer is still conducting tests. Anyhow really hope to see it available somewhere soon.

Would you happen to know what products were used when your car was detailed? Rain is always a challenge for any wax/sealant but there are ways to preserve a finish.
