not me...i'm driving 4 pot engine...up to u to get a 4 or 6 pot engine but i don't see any problem owning a 4 pot engine...and if u ask me..i will be happy to get F30 with 4 pot engine when the time comes...for sure 6 pot better than 4 pot hence u can see the diff in pricing...less power than 6 pot doesn't mean disadvantage or problematic

Agreed wt you bro rozaidi others wise BMW wont lunch 4 pot engine on their UDM

interesting.... why do you say that?

4-pot for those driving skill not so good like me.. :4: 6-pot for advance driver who can handle the power.. I can't! 200kph corner for me enough liao.. 6-pot can do 240kph corner..

2004 single tail pipe E46 is N42 engine 143HP with valvetronic, only 7hp lesser than my E90 320i N46B20.

some people can't even handle the power of the 4 pot..... then how??

haha . u guys.. i just asked if the car is worth it. lets stick to the topic, please. thankzz

ok ok...

the worth would depend on your test drive... (if you can do so)
if everything is good after your test drive.... it is worth it....
despite the many preventive maintenance that you will have to do..... Banyan Makan Wang ma....
but you will enjoy the car....

go test drive first...... hehehe

It's just the price of E46 nowadays is very affordable (maintenance is another storylaa) and I myself drive E46 N42 but always deep inside....wish it has 2 more cylinders especially during my long journey balik kampong. If it's gonna be used for town driving the 4 pot is enough to do the job. But be aware that 4 pot is not always cheaper to maintain than its 6 pot siblings especially the car will mostly be > 6 years old now.

If I were to buy an E46 now....will eye for 330i...hehehehe (this is not an advice)

if you could squeeze out a little more, you could get an E46 325, exclusive model full spec. with mileage still within 10k km. Then you can do your own modeling(exterior) and I am very sure of the condition of my car. Go check out my posting in the classifield.

let me know if u r interested.

for that kind of money you should get a 325. power, handling and braking will be one notch better than the basic entry level model that the 4 pot is. if it were me, i would do exactly that. find a 325 for the same money. might be older, but it will at least have a nice 6 cylinder sound. and thats what bmw are famous for, inline 6ers. i bought my bmw for exactly that reason. if i wanted a 4 pot for economy and easy of maintainance i would have gone with honda who are the leaders in 4 cylinder tech and make a damn fine 4 pot car. and 76 is way to much to pay for even a nice e46, not when there are so many high spec ones at the 50k mark now.

price already reduced to 76k, how now, more worth it?

yeah. that was the price but i when i went there, after the dealer added this and that the price came up to 80k which pissed me off.

expenses such as, 2000+ for insurance. few hundreds for agreement and service charge.

so i want to know how much lower i can ask from him so i can go there and kurang...

i can test drive and he said i can even take it to my mechanic for a check up which i think is pretty fair on his part. i know about the maintenance part. i have been studying this forum and other websites for some time [if i studied this hard in school mebe cud get scholarship]
but do you think the price overall is ok? the display price is 76+ but when i went there it came up to 80k! is that normal?

i know car prices will drop sligtly in 2012 but how much lower, do u have an idea Sifu?

i know man. but i got to live within my budget. if six and four have no difference in terms of maintenance then i think ill just go with four. first car so i cant expect too much!
