paddle shift steering wheel

Paddleshift cannot be used in that car you linked on Mudah, that car does not have Steptronic to be able to use paddleshift.

Btw that car is NOT an ori M-Sport as dealer meantioned, bullshit only its been converted with M-Sport bumpers.

How I can tell its not an M-Sport:

1. Not M-Sport steering
2. Not M-Sport seats
3. No anthracite (black) headlining
4. Suspension looks too high to be M-Sport

Very basic car with no PDC, no Steptronic, no multifunction steering.

Just my observations.

Also looks to be converted to facelift as the engine is m43. Which is 1.9L not 2.0L.

yes, you can.

it was my first UDM, prefacelift non-msport.

you can practically retrofit anything if you have the time, patience & $$$!

mine, yes. maybe coz it's an Euro (UK) specs.

The car on the link in the first post does not have Steptronic. Maybe need to change gearbox first to be able to install paddleshift which I think is a bit crazy.

ah, he was referring to the one in Mudah?

Correction. yup, in general all e46 318 to 330 can retrofit paddle shifters. As long as they have Steptronic.

ah i see thanks everybody . btw if i buy an e46 more than 150k mileage do you think its safe ? as in cost wise and all ?

Mileage of 150k is ok if the previous owner maintains their well with periodic maintenance. Ask for service record.

when i first bought my 328i, the milleage is alreadt 162k but the car is in superb condition, just depend on whether did the previous owner really take care of the udm.

do you guys really use the paddleshift, or it looks cool only. haha.
i nvr use the steptronic anyway (used for 1 or 2, just to try it)

I use it all the way and most of the time im on a spirited drive. Especially on trunk roads like going to Kelantan etc when I wanna overtake. On highway also I use, last week I use it all the way from Kedah to KL due to heavy traffic. No need to waste fuel to kickdown and wait for gearchange, just use the paddle to shift down to desired gear.

I'd like to keep my hands on the steering when overtaking and not reach for the gearstick everytime.

Of cause with the every 6-7k km interval oil service is must. Hope you get your lovely UDM soon.
