Indicative F30 list price?

Fair price for F30 328i?

The Mercedes C250 CGI Avantgrade (204hp/310nm) retails at RM290888.

The C300 AMG Sport retails at RM322888.

So my guess is that the 328 will sell for something in between RM290k-320k which in my opinion is dissapointing as the current E90 325i which retails at RM309800 attracts a much higher tax being a 2.5cc car compared to the 328 which is only 2.0cc.

BMW dropped the pricing of the 528(3.0) from RM449800 to 528(2.0T) to 409800 which is about 9%.

So if it could drop the 328 price by say 8% compared to the current 325 ie to say RM285k, I would say that would be a fair pricewhich would deal a knock-out blow to its competitors.

I belive that with the lower tax regime BMW Msia can afford to sell the 328 at RM285k and still make a handsome profit.

However whether it does so or nor is left to be seen.

To price it above RM300k is foolish in my opinion as many would shy away from the 328.

How I wish you were right here.... If BMW malaysia do price the 328i at 8% cheaper.... it (M-sports) will definitely be on my upgrade list.... 2 years from now

I think the F30 328 will be priced slightly below the current 325. The 320 will be priced between the current 320d and the 323. The 320d will be more or less the same as the current one. If this is the pricing structure , i will take the 320d anytime if i want to change. But i am going to use my current 320d for a few yrs more.

Hi Doc, If the 328 is priced abt 20k above the 320d, then i might consider the 328. That will still need a tough decision to make. All these prices i mentioned are for locally assembled models

I see that in uk the price of 328(sports ) is only 1400pounds more than the 320d sports. Thats abt rm7k more only. with duty abt 20k i think. maybe this an indication of the prices over here.

I just rechecked on the taxes and they should 100% ...so roughly the diffrence is rm 14k

Judging on the pricing for 520/528 N20 engine compared with the previous 523/528 older engine, the price is lower .... so we have the hope that 328 will be priced lower compare to the current 325

They are looking at RM 320K for the 328i for Sports Line and Luxury, no Modern Line available for next month's launch.
