Most probably wont have M-Sports as base on info , they will only start production in
europe from july-2012 onwards.

Hopefully BMW MY will specs the car better.

Gotta have the Msport model... the Sport trim just doesn't do it for me.

love this steering wheel

My AB SA told me they are bringing in the 320d and 328i first. Price for the 'd' is abt RM270k, but dont recall the price for the 328i as he went on saying its more worth it to go for the F10 . Initially it wil be all CBU units but advise to wait for CKD as the former comes with smaller iDrive screen and no GPS navigation.

Side track abit - was able to test the Countryman when I was there, good 3rd/4th car to go to the club etc but for RM368k:stupid: i'd go for the Cayman :top:

Just my 2 sen

Book F30 320d yesterday. My SA told me 328i will be about 320K. Very close to 520d.

I don't know that CBU come with smaller screen and without GPS. Really?

Well thats what he told me bro, best make sure with your SA given its a totally new model and all. This reminds me of the new C200 tht doesnt come with standard GPS but C250 does - but ofcourse, you can opt for it.

So far my guessing game got right for 2 out of 3. i.e. the 320d = RM270k and 328i = RM320k. Wonder how much will the 320i cost? If I am making the call, most probably I will consider not to offer the 320i. Due to:
1. Might jeopardise the sale of 320d
2. Might jeopardise the sale of 328i as the N20 could be retune to match the performance
3. Hard to position the price, if sell cheaper than 320d, most people will naturally go for 320i. If priced more expensive than 320d (i.e. >RM270k), impact to 320d and making people goto Merc and Audi.....
4. Continue the principle in promotion Green /Efficient engine, continue the effort in promoting diesel
5. Ride on the many good comments by reviewers from major car magazine

Just my humble opinion. How I wish my guessing ability can be as accurate when doing TOTOing and 4Ding....

Browse different country's BMW web, found that different countries has different spec. Can't wait to know the spec BMW Malaysia offer. Interest to the comfort access which include contact-less opening of tailgate.

Damn... for rm320k I'd rather keep my e90 335i.

Now I can rest easy.
Captain, the E90 LCi 335i w/o M-Sport front and rear bumper is costing RM540k. Considering F30 335i will also got a slight increase in price, say 5%, the F30 335i wll most probably cost about RM567k !!! F30 328i with performance figure like 0-100km in 5.9s, RM320k is a good price.

You shd join the Marketing and Sales Division of BMW Malaysia....very good analytical skills! Or join the CIA, FBI......they also need skills like yours, bro! Hey, you bought your 325i right?

Hi Doc, I am still sticking to my E46 325i. Vroom325 is the one who got a new E90 325i. Reading more and more good review comments on the F30, I think I will wait a bit more for the F30 320d (not the ED one which only got 163bhp).

If BMW Malaysia is giving a real good offer on the E90 last batch 320d, I will seriously consider it as it can be powerkitted to 200bhp and 420Nm. Stock F30 320d no match la....

Not too sure whether the 8sp gearbox in F30 can cater for that much torque or not....not proven yet as it is recently used in F10 535i and the new F13 640i and 650i.

Tried 2 MX5 cars today.....2007...Jap imports.....145K MR......hmmm.......the 320d has spoilt me. I now do not love the MX5 anymore. Full stop.

I was actually hoping the price would be more attractive, more so for a non-Msport model, what with the 328i being a 2litre car.Anyways, coming from a e90 335i,I'd rather stick to my current car.It would be different if I were coming from a lesser e90 though..
On the matter of the F30 335i,I don't think it'll come into the picture for me... a 997 Turbo S would be more appropriate for the money BMW is asking me thinks.

The Mercedes C250 CGI Avantgrade (204hp/310nm) retails at RM290888.

The C300 AMG Sport retails at RM322888.

So my guess is that the 328 will sell for something in between RM290k-320k which in my opinion is dissapointing as the current E90 325i which retails at RM309800 attracts a much higher tax being a 2.5cc car compared to the 328 which is only 2.0cc.

BMW dropped the pricing of the 528(3.0) from RM449800 to 528(2.0T) to 409800 which is about 9%.

So if it could drop the 328 price by say 8% compared to the current 325 ie to say RM285k, I would say that would be a fair pricewhich would deal a knock-out blow to its competitors.

I belive that with the lower tax regime BMW Msia can afford to sell the 328 at RM285k and still make a handsome profit.

However whether it does so or nor is left to be seen.

To price it above RM300k is foolish in my opinion as many would shy away from the 328.

I afraid that some interesting/good features may not available if the price meet our needs. C-class don't have comfort access and parking display.

A little bird told me the F30 will be launched by BMW Malaysia at the Mines on either the 22nd or the 29th od March...........
