idrive - 328i vs M Sport

It appears the new M Sport idrive is faster, more responsive and look different than my 328i. I was told mine can be updated to the latest at a cost. But does anyone know if the processors are the same or different. Keen to upgrade if it helps with the idrive more responsive.

It could be that the 328i M Sport comes with NBT and you one is CIC_HIGH

The iDrive on the M Sport is called NBT and it is the latest 3rd generation iDrive. It comes with a much faster processor operating at 500kbps compared to the 2nd generation iDrive at 125kbps. In addition the NBT comes with bigger HDD at 200gb and a new and improved user interface. You can upgrade to latest NBT iDrive but it is not going to be cheap.
