Man ... that was some meet up. A special thanks to those who turned up ... even some of the committee members were there. Affan, thanks a bunch for picking me up from the Sentral station. Hope I didn't drag you out too far out from your place ...

And the guys from the East Coast, Allen aka WAN520i and Lipisbimmer ... hope you guys had a safe drive back.
Phew ... glad I made it finally. My damn work held me up till about 7.00 pm on SAT, original plan was to tumpang with a colleague but we were all so tired and he decided not to drive back to KL! Damn ... All MAS and Air Asia flights were full hence the KTM midnite train was the only best option. Dropped in Sentral around 7.00 am on SUN, washed up and changed, grabbed breakfast before ICE Meister came to pick me up in his Zoom, Zoom ICE Mobile!
Great turn out ... not bad for our 1st ICE TT though it wud have been nice to have a few more cars to listen to. All the guys with the nice set-ups never showed up ... a pity and my own humble ride was stuck at home with no amps and HU ...

Thanks to Chan and Affan for the hot seat in their cars ... 2 lovely set-ups and best of all WITHOUT BLOWING THEIR WALLETS SKY-HIGH! In fact, both your set-ups were so identical with only the amps providing some sonic difference. A slightly prominent sub wud have been nice but for the kind of music and listening levels, I wud be nit-picking really. Plus, I wud be happy to be caught in a jam with either one your rides on any day - a smooth, natural sounding system built on very strong foundations. Err ... ada-apa upgrade lagi, ka ???!!! :nyehehe:
Kaizer and Wee Choon, thank you too for allowing me to enjoy your set-ups ... hope you've found the cure for your problems, yeah! Kaizer, love your set-up for its fast mids and bass notes. Please do ground or screw the box down to the boot ... you're losing a lot bass notes when the sub box moves about. If you can, take out the sub box too, check it for leaks and if needed, re-glue / seal the edges of the box. You'll be surprised with the improvement to the in-car bass response.
And Wee Choon ... hope my PMs were of help while you were huntin for your amps and etc. Do experiment with the things we were talking about in your car - too many speakers are not good ... kinda confuses the listeners on the direction of the sounds. I'd go with the Infinity up front and the subs at the back. Remove the rear speakers - use that cavity to let the bass notes filter into your cabin. The damn E36 boot is very well sealed and it's not easy to get the upfront bass effect with the rear speakers intact. Don't rush with the upgrades as yet ... one at a time and do enjoy the changes each brings/adds to your system.
And the DIY Man aka Walking Diskette from Pahang ... love that set-up for its neat and tidy look ... and the easy sounding nature. You need a mono for the subs - no doubt about it. Too bad the MTX did not work out, grab something good while you're in States - sent you some suggestions already ...... BUY, BUY, BUY !!!! :nyehehe:
AND .... you guys missed out another good set - BASKET ZAMTRESCO with his Ah Beng Blue E36. He wa so shy and never allowed anyone to get in and listen to his car. I had a blast in it ... listening to some superb jazz discs while he was driving me around. Thanks a bunch for going the extra mile (into the City) and the bus ticket home, dude. BTW, tolong kirim salam to your Auntie and cousin ... loved the Laksa Terengganu and their hospitality.
To the rest, nice meeting you guys ... again for some and let's hope we can have another one soon. Hopefully, my car wud be ready to face your expectations by then - I'm working hard on bringing it upto the high standard set by some here .... :lazy:
P/S - For my bro Niky ....
