After upgrade the rim to 18", i decide to slam down my car. Have been searching here and there, realized that many brand of spring and strut in the market now i.e Bilstein, Eibach, Sach, MTech, H&R, Koni, Boge, Titan..I am using Bilstein strut on the rear..(Saw the sticker there, but not sure black or yellow or what color else for Bilstein?? How to check??)Now my problem is: 1. Can i just change the spring so that i can slam down my car for 1" to 1.5"?2. What is the best combination for my Bilstein strut??3. I am looking for comfortable drive rather than sport performance feeling. So what brand of spring i should order?Calling : fabianyee, azman818, Daredevil, tay, opp, peck, Bailey and else who has lowered experience..Thkx and regards.

I am running the Sach advantage shocks + eibach springs set up. No probs at all. Car very predictable at the limit and when the back gives, there is alot of warning and I make corrections to get it back on track. In the wet is another thing all together. I am running on 18 inch F1's from Germany. Great tyre for dry/wet trashing but have to compromise on the tyre noise.

Taken the kota damansara toll exit to NKVE at 120+ in 3rd then 4th gear, ok but some correction needed at the bottom as the back will stick out some. Like I said, the set up gives some warning and the car is predictable at the limit.

Drop is only 1 to 1.5 inches just like what you are looking at.

Overall ride is ok, not too bumpy. My baby is ok in the car at 150+ going to KLIA. So if my baby is ok, you should too. hehehe.

My Car Is Drop Too Much I Think, Front Almost Hit The Road, Wana Pass Normal Ramp Also Need To Fully Stop My Car & Slowly Pass , Otherwise Sure Hit The Bottom, Unhappy For That.

I Don't Know What Brand The Spring Is, Previous Owner Told Me It Is Sport Spring, Super Hard Spring I Think. I Can Do Cornering At 120km/h at NKVE From Klang To Subang Toll Without Any Car Movement.

By Choosing Hard Spring N Lower Your Ride Can Give You Good Cornering & Better Handling, But When Comes To Ramp Or Bumpy Road You Ownself Will Feel Scare, That's My Problem. Lower Means Good Handling & More" Chun" Only...

My Idea Is Better Keep The Stock Spring Cause It Gives You Balance In Comfort & Handling.

Opp:
Some said Eibach give too stiff to the car..So how about ur feeling?

James Chun:
My gap is quite big, so i thk it is a need to do a slam work.

dude...just go for Eibach!!

I have been used on my previous 2 ride... so far...acceptable! :)

As zoakies said. Go for Eibach. If you want I can give you a ride in my car. Its a little firm, not stiff at all.

Cheers!!!

I searched online..There got only one type of Eibach Pro-Kit Spring to use for e39, am i right? Part no: 2053.140.

I am not so sure about the Product Code, but i tot the E46 (6 potter) will fit with those E39 M52 engine as well..... i just guess only ler.... :)

Ok...thanks for the info...

Btw, i get to know that this guy in Sunway selloing it around RM 1200 only... so i guess its easier to get it here right? :)

OK, say now..

The gap between the top of tyre to the fender (if look outside, measured by ruler) is 3" for my car now. Is that normal gap for e39? I dont think so. If i want to lower the half (1.5"), is that Ok?

I got a set of used AC lowered springs for E39 but too bad. A guy who took it never paid me and now I have to pay my supplier.

Suppose to sell to our friend Mr.Iceman63.

  Take the spring but didnt pay to u? When u want to giv me one? :p :p

I got eibachs on my 34. Initially read reports on the net that it rides very firmly so I was a bit hesitant as ride comfort is very important to me. After a while got fed up of looking at the HUGE gap between the front fender and tire and also because of the rear being lower than the front, like a boat, so decided to switch to eibachs.

Ride not too bad actually, firmer than stock but I wouldn't its uncomfortable. Highly recommended. Looks much better also.

I think drops for eibach is 1.5" front and 1" rear. You probably don't want to go lower than that otherwise sure kena all the bumps.

I just slam dunk my ride with Racing Dynamics lowering springs. Now 2 fingers gap. At least a lil kitten can't sleep on top of the tyres now. :driver: The rides very comfy too but hell a lot of difference in handling. :top:

Dear All,

My E39 Front Is Too Low, The Front Tyre Almost Hit The Fender, Everytime Pass By The Ramp, My Front Spoiler Sure Kena , Bottom Area All Scratch....Alamak!!

Anyone Of You What Should I Do To Increase The Front Ride Height???

Lower Is Better In Handling, But When Comes To Uneven Road, You Will Feel Scare. When Comes To Big Hole, Lagi Dashyat.Alamak!!
