How to replace key for E39

I may have lost my only key that can start the car. What are my options in this situation? Still have my master key so I can get in the car.

I think there would be a costly solution. Try calling up one of the car accessories shop, some of which have contacts of BMW key experts. PM me if you want the one who duplicated and modified mine.

I just get the key programmer but the seller didnt give me the driver for installation. I still trying to test to clone my own. if i success to clone my key you will benefit too.

If you dont have the Start engine key never mind, but you must have the open door and ignition key. Then need to have special key programmer which cost more than RM1500 to read the EWS and set a new key to your car. I got a video from youtube which show how to solve your problem. Remember you must have a key to open the car and on the ignition in order to on the EWS system.

What the difference or start engine key and ignition key? He already said he cannot start the car, can open door only.

Guys... Found my key in my friends car. Had to climb in & out of his msport and must have fallen out of my pocket when trying to get my butt out of his bucket seats.

Thank god the key has been found. Any place around dj or du that I can get a duplicate key made?

make sure tweiboon apply VCO onto your key before and after cloning/programming, otherwise not lasting.

The key cannot start the car but you can on the eletric of the car or on the CPU of the car.Meaning your transponder not works for the car.

For latest information. I tested the key programmer but not able to write to my uncut key. When i want to clear the uncut key data and is said "Cannot disable passowrd". I think need to buy new transponder only can clone my key's data to new transponder then only can start the car.

My car key is using 433 MHz so now i can open my door but not yet can start the car.

For latest information. I tested the key programmer but not able to write to my uncut key. When i want to clear the uncut key data and is said "Cannot disable passowrd". I think need to buy new transponder only can clone my key's data to new transponder then only can start the car.

Bro maybe herbert was right u 4got to apply some VCO on the key thats why the key can't start the car. Now u need to buy another new transponder chip will cost u some more extra ayo..yo..rugi busat oh...

No choice also may be need to buy transponder. I heard from someone the locksmith need to replace the transponder for reprogrammer old key.

Bro, I used to have 1 key to start engine and another key to open after changing EWS. The guy did some magic and now I can use a single key to open door, start engine and the remote is working (lock, unlock, open boot).

It's not cheap to do that, but it's doable.

I have send text msg to ask Derek Banting and other locksmith about reprogrammer a key needed to replace transponder or not. But both of them didnt reply the msg.
