Hi car care sifus,My car was a bit wet when I covered it with the car cover. After a few hours in the sun, now there are some marks on the bonnet, presumably where it had been wet. The black paint at those marks has gone a bit lighter shade. Any way I can get rid of this mark? Would sending it for a polish help? Thanks!

Hi guys.

My not-genius/next-door-kepoh advice is that it is watermark that has already hazed up the paint (above the surface).

Give it a good wash and try CLAYING the car first. You can even try Meguiars 3-Step wonder

Step 1 Paint Cleaner
Step 2 Paint Polisher
Step 3 Waxing

You don't need to send the car to a polishing shop everytime you face this problem. If you did, you're only thinning down your clear coat if they are compounding your paint instead of polishing it.

Ok mate. Will try that. I sent for polishing and mark is still there, though not so obvious now.
